Ryan Seacrest Announces the I Heart Radio Lineup

Ryan Seacrest announced the lineup of the 2nd annual I Heart Music festival, set to take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas September 21 and 22.  There aren’t any competition reality show alums set for the lineup. However, Aerosmith, featuring Steven Tyler is set to perform.

Last year, Kellie Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez all performed as part of the 2 day festival.

This year’s lineup inlcudes: Taylor Swift, Aerosmith, Rihanna, Usher, Bon Jovi, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Swedish House Mafia, No Doubt, Brad Paisley, Pitbull, deadmau5, Miranda Lambert, Enrique Iglesias, Linkin Park, Jason Aldean, P!nk, Mary J. Blige, Calvin Harris and Shakira

    Laaaame. This lineup doesn’t even compare to last year’s IMO.

    Last year’s lineup looked a lot better.  This one seems a little short on current star power.

    A lot of the artists on the line up have released or will release new albums this year.. That’s current for me..

    This isn’t a lineup I’m interested in spending hundreds of dollars (airfare, hotel, tickets) to go see. Also, why does Aerosmith get to perform 2 years in a row?

    Last year’s lineup was much better. Hopefully they will add some more interesting names to this lineup.

    I was going to explain this earlier, for me, current is about more than these acts doing the show to promote their new album, it’s about people like Kelly and Carrie who have recently had success on the radio, not acts like No Doubt, who haven’t made music in years.  But, the lineup doesn’t look too bad with Usher, Rihanna, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, Pink and Taylor Swift.  

    For some reason this group just doesn’t seem as solid as last year’s.

    I’m really, really surpised about no Kelly or Carrie. They are both doing so well right now. But I’m pretty freaking excited that Pink is coming back to the music world.

    Kelly and Carrie performed last  year so I guess they didn’t want to repeat performers.. Also elliegrll, No Doubt is releasing new “current” material this year.
