American Idol judge, Nicki Minaj, will have a little competition when her album, Pink Friday: Roman Releaded – The Re-up, is released on November 19.

Pop star Rihanna has announced that her next album, titled Unapologetic (Get it? Get it?) will be released on the same day. Ri Ri revealed the deets and cover art this morning via twitter. “My NEW album “UNAPOLOGETIC” will be released on NOVEMBER 19th WORLDWIDE #Navy”

Oops. Rihanna forgot to put her shirt on. But she’s not sorry!

    Actually the cover art is pretty cool, but it’s less about the music anymore and more about getting out the edgiest most shocking images to sell records.  Just watch these insufferable MTV or VH1, or any of them for that matter, awards shows these days.  If you can strut out nearly naked during some provocative slutty number, that’s the benchmark.  Tuneless songs are the backdrop to all that.

    I’ve come to the conclusion that Rihanna doesn’t know who she is and can’t exist without being in the spotlight 24/7.  And that’s just sad.

     I’ve tried, but I. Just. Can’t with Rhianna.  Apart from all her songs sounding the same, her voice akin to a goat bleating in heat on a good day, there is no gimmick or mediawhorish trick she and her team won’t try to keep her in the press. She has never gotten a nickel from me, and I see no reason for that to change with her latest.
