According to TMZ and Gossip Cop, Simon Cowell has tapped pop star, Rihanna to assist LA Reid during the “houses” phase of the show.
If the reports are true, Rihanna will join LA in an exotic (or not so exotic!) location to help him choose which X Factor hopefuls to mentor. Reid signed Rihanna to UMG back in 2005.
Maria Carey is reportedly set to work on X Factor in some capacity.
X Factor premieres on FOX on September 21.
