Listen to Rihanna’s new song “Diamonds.” The song is the first single off the pop singer’s upcoming album, which doesn’t have a name or track list yet. It’s expected to be released before the end of the year.

Rihanna has released an album every year for the past four years since November in 2009, according to RyanSeacret.com. She’s yet to wear out her welcome, as the hits seem to keep on coming.

Check out the new song. What do you think?

I’m already hooked and it’s very catchy

I find that “shine bright like a diamond” talky bit to be so annoying and it ruins an otherwise nice song for me.

To go one step further on Rihanna, she’s had a new album out every year since 2005 with 2008 being the only year there wasn’t one and 30+ singles during that time.  Damn.

There’s going to be a lot of big name releases from now through the end of the year, which is exciting.  I can honestly say that nothing put out so far has really gotten me excited, on the pop side.  Pink’s album got my attention but was full of big hits and big misses, imo.  Although it should be a great touring album.

    Boring. Monotonous. Zzzz….

I can’t believe somebody got paid to write those lyrics.

Of course, it will be a massive hit because radio can’t wait to play the latest Rihanna track.

I really like some of Rihanna’s songs (“Where have you been all my liiiife?”) and am a fan of her voice.  But I’m in the camp that finds this song dull. It sounds like a lot of songs that could be sung by a lot of singers. There was a slight hint of a Caribbean flavor once in a while, but that’s about the only thing setting this song apart.
