LUV Renee's recap! I've enjoyed all those I've gotten to read, but it's nice to learn more about the Idols' interactions with fans behind the scenes..

The comments, tho... Wow.. so many attacks on my girl Allison' ¦ ::weeps:: I'm gonna pull a crazy fantard moment here and defend the Rawker!

Sure, I see where some folks are coming from.. Allie's got some edge to her that might not be everyone's cup of tea. But she's exciting, funny, and just trying to be herself! I *still* haven't heard of her being mean-spirited or rude to anyone. Check her out with fans HERE. Besides, she isn't some religious figure or politician or anything' ¦just a contestant on a singing show' ¦ Let's not be so hard on her.

And I don't know about her mom' ¦but *I'm* proud of her! She's handled the pressure of AI amazingly well, on top of being one of the 2 BEST singers on the show.. Frankly' ¦she's the only reason I got tickets for the concert..which, after 7 seasons of casually watching Idol, I never thought I'd do.

I think Whitney Pastorek, who reported from inside the live shows HERE for EW, captured how mature Allison is in ways that truly matter' ¦and yet still manages to be a hilariously goofy teenager. Who knows..? I'll be at the official meet n greet this Thursday and will post if anything odd happens' ¦ I suspect, tho, that I'll still LUV that girl!!

What, apparently, is very difficult for some (teenagers in particular) to grasp, is that posts on the internet (blogs, tweets, whatever) ARE THERE FOREVER.

I grow very weary of the raw, vulger language used by some. Allison's tweets have used language that I would "ground" my teenaged daughter for using ... and while I am not Allison's mother, I hope her handlers, at least, will consider how her lack of professionalism may negatively affect her career and give her some guidelines for self-editing.

She can still be her exuberant self - I would just like to see a slightly edited version of it.

And, I'm betting that when she is a mom herself, she'll have more than a few cringe-worthy moments when reviewing her "idol tour scrapbook" with her own children.

That being said, Thank God there were only "messenger pigeons" and "rolls of parchment" when I was a teen! Their immediate availability and longevity were mercifully short.

Was Allison shrieking and jumping around like a diva, or like a hyper teenager?

In both cases it would be inmature, and would put people off; but there is a difference, and that's why I would like to know more about the incident. If it was like hyper, etc. that doen't mean that she was a bad person per se, but will need work - and some people won't like her teenage-ness; if it was like a diva, Allison would have to watch out her behavior... this from an Ally fan

The Allison thing has been beaten to death already, but I have to mention my experience with her.

I ran into her at a restaurant in SF last week. She was extremely sweet and exceedingly polite when I approached her (after she was done eating), even though I was nervously blabbing way too long about how awesome she was, asked to take a pic with her. She mentioned she was really tired.

I know I have good and bad days when it comes to being cheery and patient with people--and I would hate to be defined by those less frequent bad days. Since Allison is a human, it's no surpise that she's going to have her off moments too.

I'm not sure what the big deal is regarding Allison. The poster isn't saying she's a terrible person, rather just posting her experience. All fans defend their Idol and I like Allison, but I'm not entirely surprised. I'm sure she's also very nice and very sweet, but it doesn't mean she can't be immature too. I stopped following her on Twitter because I couldn't deal with her teenage-ness. I'm sure she's a normal teen and that is wonderful. However I don't really use her age as an excuse. Idol has had plenty of teens before and if she has fans waiting for her while she's acting the spaz, then she needs to get her crap together. But I'm sure if it's a problem, the producers or her mom will talk to her.

Going to concert in K.C. Can someone email me at mitchjgtbh@mchsi.com. How do you get to meet and greet the AI's. This review sounds like a dream come true! What a night! Thanks!

I'm going to the KC concert, too. From what I understand, unless you know someone connected w/ the show the only way to get meet and greets is through radio station contests.

Allison is just 17, and on top of that she seems to have a pretty hyper personality. Kris has said that sometimes he or one of the other Idols have to tell her to calm down if she gets too loud. Nonetheless, all the other Idols seem to love her. It's easy to forget that she's 4 or 5 years younger than any of the others (I think Anoop is the next youngest? He's 21 or 22). She seems very sweet, if a little immature at times, to me. And teenagers in general aren't always comfortable around adults, let alone around a bunch of strangers who want her autograph or picture. Her mom is on the tour with her, so I would think that if there are real problems with Allison's behavior, either her mom will say something or the producers will go to her mom about it.

Ellie2, it was not all teenagers at the buses when I was there last year. There was a huge mix from very young to grandparents. I don't know what it will be like this year but don't let age stop you from doing anything you want to do. I am over 40 and you can bet I will be at the buses to get Kris Allen's autograph when he comes to Chicago.

Well, I remember people posting they liked Allison because she was a "real" teen unlike Archie or Jordin who I guess were unreal because they too mature or something. So ...rude, obnoxious, loud. Yup, sounds like a real teen. ;)
