Randy Jackson was a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s reality-themed Oprah today.   Fellow guest, Adam Lambert introduced him via satellite (See Adam’s segment HERE).

Randy talked a little about Idol, but saved his real enthusiasm for his MTV Dance Show, America’s Best Dance Crew.

In the second part of the interview, the current winners of ABDC, the all-girl crew, “We Are Heroes” performed. Randy introduced them like a proud papa!

what fun! I don’t get cable so can’t watch. Too bad. When Oprah said 68 million viewers I’m assuming that it was really 68 million votes cast and you can vote multiple times like on Idol, right?

My oldest daughter loves this show. She could care less about idol and only watches with me, this show however, she DVR’s religiously. I watch with her some times. They are not as slick as SYTYCD but they are fun to watch.

Considering that most of the kids on this program are from “street teams” and are basically self taught and self choreographed I think the show focuses great natural talent. And I think it gives out really positive vibes on how to keep kids occupied and doing something fun and constructive. I would think it is an honor for these kids to be selected to participate, and an aspiration for many.
