Twelve year old America’s Got Talent alum, Quintavious Johnson, sang the National Anthem today (Nov 27) before the NFL Thanksgiving day game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions. The game took place in the motor city.
The preternatural soulful singer made the finals of the most recent season of AGT, leaving the competition in 5th place. During the finale, he sang a duet of “And I Am Telling You” with Jennifer Hudson, who said of the young singer afterward, via twitter, “Quintavious is amazing ! That child can sing!!! That’s right baby , bring back the music! So proud of u!”
Jennifer is not the only American Idol alum impressed with Quintavious. I am pretty sure season 8 winner, Kris Allen has NO idea who the singer is, or that he’s a fellow singing show alum. But after he belted out the anthem today, Kris tweeted, “That kid just killed the national anthem before the Lions game. #chills”
