Pussycat Doll, Ashley Roberts in the Running for X Factor Host

Blessed be. We went through an ENTIRE DAY without X Factor or American Idol rumors. Alas, I knew it wouldn’t last. The latest X Factor hosting rumors come from E News:

I just got word that Nicole Scherzinger’s former bandmate Ashley Roberts is in the running to cohost the new season of X Factor.

Sources tell me that Roberts, 30, has already auditioned with producers. She’s apparently going to meet Fox network executives sometime this week.

I have no comment on this because I have no freaking clue who Ashley Roberts is. Maybe ya’ll do? The site lists a whole slew of possible hosts, which they are taking credit for revealing: George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler, Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez, BET’s 106 & Park star Terrence J, sportscaster Erin Andrews and radio personality Mike Catherwood.

I don’t remember half those names. But then, I’m not really all that invested in which boy and girl will eventually co-host the show.  Also, Marc Malkin  is the reporter who spread that false Darren Criss rumor.  So grain of salt and all.

    So, X-Factor is going with girl/guy host pairings?  I have no idea who Ashley is, but it may just be a rumor.

    Geez, didn’t Mr. Cowell learn his lesson when he hired the first Pussycat Doll that didn’t work out?

    Yet if Mario Lopez took the job, I don’t think anyone would be laughing.  Since he’s not on DWTS, who knows where he’ll be?
