Private Memorial Service for Jennifer Hudson’s Family Set for Monday

Funeral arrangements have been made for Jennifer Hudson’s family who were murdered on Friday in Chicago:

The Hudson Funeral Home announced the service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Church of God, according to the Chicago Tribune.

On Friday, a rep from the funeral home will announce if the family will hold a public service, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

I know some of you were interested in donating to domestic violence agencies. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a newly-created fund:

Hudson-King Domestic Violence Protection Fund,
C/O Seaway Bank and Trust
P.O. Box 19522
Chicago, IL, 60619.

    I hope the press respects the family’s need for privacy during what will certainly be a very difficult day. I hope TMZ et al stays the hell away.
