I am totally digging Joshua’s song choices.  I really, really wish that they could clear “Purple Rain” for him to do on the finale, maybe….THAT could be a moment!

  • Anonymous

    Jessica, Jessica, Jessica!

  • Anonymous

Please PLEASE PLEASE make this a Jessica vs. Josh finale. These two are the two best singers I’ve heard on any of these shows in YEARS.

  • http://twitter.com/TweetsFromFrank Frank

I really don’t know who will win at this point. I thought P2 was heading downward but he did that Damian Rice song really good. All of them will go on to be successful as cliche as that sounds so whoever wins doesn’t matter!

  • Anonymous

Agreed … Jessica Jessica Jessica … wow! that was just a fierce performance tonight …

  • http://twitter.com/GashleyT PunkSkittle

I don’t hope he gets the boot because he’s had some great performances and
deserves to stay, but I hope Josh is in the B2 (someone has to be there with
Hollie) just because the judges’ constant overpraising is nauseating. This was
far from one of his best weeks. Jessica was strongest tonight but if they’re
ever going to make Mean Girls the Musical, she and her angry singing personality would
definitely be an easy casting decision (along with Ashthon Jones from last year
ofc). Phillips still does nothing for me – we all know that Volcano is blowing
chunks more often than not and Hollie is probably going home as she didn’t hit 2
home runs, which is probably what she needed having been in the B2 so

  • M C Farrell

Hollie is such a goner. Could the judges have been nastier? “Hollie, you just don’t have the kind of experience you need to sing that song.” “Jessica, your 16-year-old self just hung the moon when you sang that song about utter heartbreak.” Jerks.

  • http://twitter.com/poppetawoppet Emily

still #teamhollie, but I’m just not sure she’ll make it through

(I loved the vocal on the second song, I think the arrangement was terrible)

  • Anonymous

I’ll be darned, but P2’s Volcano was my favorite tonight.

I voted for Hollie the most I’ve voted for anyone since Allison. I miss Allison.

  • idolstruck

Phillip’s Volcano is simply stunning. This will be another “The Stone” moment for me !

  • Anonymous

Joshua on It’s a Man’s World was just incredible. He so deserves to win this thing!

  • Anonymous

The two performances that I am checking out again on my DVR, are Joshua’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and Phillip’s “Volcano.” Man, I love these two performances so much.

  • Anonymous

I wish the judges hadn’t been so hard on Hollie. People will just vote harder for her.

  • http://twitter.com/cheeseE1 EH

There are studio recordings of the duets this week. Huh.  The Volcano recording is really, really (really) good.

Jessica, Joshua and Philip all had great moments tonight, but out of these 8 songs, Volcano is the only song that I would actually want to listen to in headphones.

  • Mary Reichardt

Josh was a-mazing. He’s my pick to win the whole thing.

Phillip was a very close second.  I feel like he showed with Volcano what kind of recording artist he would be – and that would be a damn good one!

JoshPhillip also had the best duet (much better than the trainwreck of their last duet), so great night all around for them.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1563608238 Shirley Tomlinson

I voted over an hour straight for Hollie, both facebook and cell phone. The last time the judges treated Hollie unfairly and threw her under the bus, she was voted in the top 3. I hope it works again. Either they are trying to manipulate us to vote harder for Hollie or they are just dumb. Randy was ridiculous leaving Hollie out when he named the OTHER three idols and said they were in it to win it. i guess the judges forgot how good her first song was and how much they “loved” it. I’m going back to voting some more here in a minute!

  • Anonymous

I thought the Songs I wish I’d written” was a good theme. It showed what the contestants are really made of. The California theme meant “old songs” I guess.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1563608238 Shirley Tomlinson

I’m voting for Hollie like I did for David Cook!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1563608238 Shirley Tomlinson

Hollie gave me goosebumps on the 2nd song. Also, I think I remember the judges doing the same thing to Haley last year. Unfairly calling her out on everything even making up pitchy dog comments when everyone knew Haley was fantastic. Same thing here. Hollie shows emotion and they dismiss it and say she was awful and pitchy. They are wrong and voters will vote harder for Hollie now.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1563608238 Shirley Tomlinson

I think the judges just encouraged Hollie’s fans to vote harder. Josh or Phil or Jessica will go home. It will be a “shocker”.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1563608238 Shirley Tomlinson

Hollie was much better than Jessica tonight. Jessica oversang and screamed. Then the judges all attacked Hollie at once trying to eliminate Jessica’s “competition”. Jessica can’t sing without oversinging and shouting. Hollie is the more mature singer. Back to voting for Hollie!

  • http://profiles.google.com/ronhepworth Ronald Hepworth

This was not a good night for Hollie. The judges opinions were one of the few times I agree with them. It was very weak and lifeless. Not a chance she will be able to stay

  • http://profiles.google.com/ronhepworth Ronald Hepworth

Please give a rest about Hollie

  • Anonymous

Round 1 was a wash. Round 2 went to Josh.

hollie is a goner…P2’s 2nd song is better than her 2 songs combined.. LOL

Shocker Elimination….Say GOODBYE Joshua! DialIdol has you in last place!

  • http://www.facebook.com/tyleraugust Tyler August

She’s the only who knows how to sing! You haven’t gotten the memo yet? hahahahahaaha

  • Anonymous

I certainly hope not. I don’t think it would be good for the show.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/JSP727NMTNZTGZOULUGOH6G3CI Beth Fischer

Jessica easily had the “moment” of the season with her last song..
Ill send her a 100-200 votes, even tho she’ll be safe

With P2.. I think people are praising his 2nd performance because it was better than usual… He still has major pitch problems and a low range.. By NO means should this performance sway fans to think he should win over others.. He had a voice-tone thing infrount of his mic so he wasnt off pitch..

IF it is a P2 vs Jessica finale… It will just make IDOL & P2 look like crap when he wins

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/OSOOTOBRL4XGHQNICOXCCN5IXQ lisa

I power voted for Hollie tonite!!!!I hate what those tone deaf judges keep trying to do to her. I just don’t get these judges Jessica just screams out her songs.
I can never tell how good or how bad her voice really is.and Phillip just can’t sing period.

  • Tess

I’ve come to the conclusion that Jessica is just like JHud….terribly loud and pretty damn one dimensional.  I think there is so much more to singing than hitting the notes and pulling “attack dog” faces.

Hollie needs seasoning but I adore “her” and love the tone of her voice”

I find Phillip interesting and I think he has found a style that is very much him…sure he doesn’t have much range and he’s pretty much stuck to a stool but there is just something there that is intriguing.

Josh is phenomenal for a 19 year old….I think he is getting a lot of “push back” from the bubble because people don’t like “hearing” that he is better than their special snowflake from the other 10 seasons.  But I feel that the guy probably understands what he is singing better than 95% of the Idols who have come before….and the other 5% aren’t are on an even par.

I’d like to see Jessica go tomorrow….but am pretty sure that won’t happen.  But I won’t be sad no matter how it turns out.

Dial Idol has been off,had Skylar with most votes

  • Anonymous

Agreed,I thought Hollie was best by a smidgen round but second round was for me all Josh

  • Anonymous

For me, I just want to hear Joshua’s second song

  • Anonymous

    That would be great.

  • http://twitter.com/cheeseE1 EH

Idol does not use auto tune or any other pitch correction on the contestants. I think he was using a recording style mic to convey the intimacy of the song. It was supposed to be him, alone in the dark, singing to himself, almost like he was in the booth recording it.

  • http://twitter.com/raya4 raya

I know Hollie is the underdog and all that, but I don’t think she was unfairly attacked tonight.  I don’t think she was even attacked.  At worst she wasn’t given universal praise.  I think for me it just came down to me that she wasn’t bad, but she didn’t make good song choices this week and the other three did and it will likely cost her tomorrow.  I know people are power voting to save her, but at the same time I reckon most of the power voting for Hollie is likely coming from inside the bubble and not from the casual voters.  I don’t think the judges were mean enough to really warrant much pro-Hollie outrage honestly, especially when she’s been hitting the B2 for weeks.

Also unfortunately for Hollie, Phil had the best night he’s had in a long time and Josh and Jessica has at least one stellar performance each.  So yes, if I were ranking the four performers based on tonight only I would have Hollie last–and I say that as very much a non-P2 fan.  If it were up to me Phil would have gone a long time ago, but based on tonight I don’t think he deserves to.

  • http://twitter.com/jonnyboy82 Jon Glass

Hollie can’t go home this week! :( VOTE VOTE VOTE!!

  • http://twitter.com/jerryt9789 HaleyIsMyBaby

I think all 4 contestants did great tonight even the duets were enjoyable. The Judges and their biased non-professional opinions drove me nuts.To say Josh is the best ever to be on Idol,I like Josh and love his style but to say he is the best Ever is just wrong. Why don’t they just call it quits and crown him the winner and Jessica runner up and tell Phillip and Hollie they are just wasting their time.
Viewers listen to the Judges and base their decisions on what they hear from them, honest professional evaluations should be expected…That is not what the viewers are getting.

  • http://twitter.com/bluinjewin Landon Cox

Was averaging about 17 texts per minute, so by my estimate I sent in 2040 votes for Hollie.

    Now onto facebook votes.

  • Anonymous

LOVED Phil! Hollie was great as well. I don’t really dig Jessica at all and Josh is just a kinda like for me.. Overall a good night, though.

  • http://twitter.com/tinawinabina Tinawina

    I’m with you.

I adore Hollie and would rather see her advance than Phillip.

But I have to admit Phillip’s second song was really really good. And Hollie was just back to pre-Rollin In The Deep Hollie. If going by tonight, Hollie deserves to go.

If Phillip was a shock boot tomorrow I wouldn’t be sad. But If Hollie bumps off either Joshua or Jessica – especially Joshua, who at this point deserves the win IMO – I will be very irritated. As much potential as she has, she’s just not ready yet.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_I3NQHPT3NA6VGKK22RCMTGOCII Tiffany

No one on that show can interpret a song like Josh.  If he goes home because people liked others better and voted for them, thats fine.  If he goes home because people got ticked at the judges comments and didnt vote for him, even though they thought he was good, then that would be a crime.

  • Anonymous

I’m hoping the judges criticism of Hollie backfired, and that she and P2 will be in the top 3.  I won’t miss Joshua or Jessica – the two screamers.

  • Carriefan1

    Hollie/Jessica = A
    Joshua/Hollie/Jessica/Phillip = B+

My ears are still ringing from all the screaming tonight.  Phillip was my favorite because he didn’t SCREAM. :(
Hollie should have listened to this before singing I Can’t Make You Love Me. She doesn’t get it, unfortunately.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqv9xjLvFfk

Watching Joshua grit and emotionally plow his way through It’s a Man’s World reminded me exactly of what, *in my opinion*, is always missing from Jessica’s performances.

As far as a true artist and possibly a great recording star, Phillip wins it hands down because of his uncanny ability to make songs his own.   I love Joshua as well because man he can sing.   But lets be honest….Hollie and Jessica are just imitating other artists.  Jessica sings songs just too old for her.   I wish she had waited a couple of years to try out because she just doesn’t show the emotion necessary from life experiences to relate to the audience.
I am hoping for a Phillip Joshua final.   To me, these two are the real deal.

  • Anonymous

Purple Rain is a better song choice for Joshua. i absolutely did NOT like his performance of the second song

Charly, Karise and Juliet from The Voice of Holland, Australia and US respectively did a much better and more listenable version of “It’s A Man’s, Man’s World”

  • sdmama

A part of the reason why I like Phillip is he is the only one who introduced me two new songs I never heard before. (The Stone and Volcano.) They were new to me but so great that I had to look up the original.

I am not going to compare.  I just say that thank you for introducing these songs/band/artists to those who had not been initiated.

  • http://twitter.com/bluinjewin Landon Cox

I think the best version of that song is Mary Byrne from XFUK

Wish I could vote more than once in the “Favorite Solo performance” poll and just skip voting in the others.

if hollie wins that shows that america is not truely looking for the best and the talent.. i’m not saying she’s not good (she has a good quality of voice) but of all the artists left she really has the least good performances.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/LFIYJRANCWF7UPHOFXXKUCW4ZU aro

really…? check your tv. i don’t know what you really like when she sang dance with my father and you are so beautiful does that mean she oversang it….? cmon… open your eyes and ears.

Wow, i am actually really shocked at all the people saying there voting for Hollie.
If Phillip leaves tomorrow night, i am not going to watch the show anymore due to the lack of originality from the other contestants, i completely understand why people love Jessica & Joshua .. because they have incredible voices and great performances, but i am SO sick of all the ballads and song choices by them this year! Phillip is the only one left that is different from the 4 remaining.. yeah you know what he is gonna do each week, but that’s because he know’s what he want’s to do and he is amazing at it. He doesn’t take huge risks but he doesn’t have to. Come on, without P2 the show will be pretty boring. It’s only my opinion no one has to agree but i think overall Phillip deserves another week at least. Were as Hollie has been in the bottom multiple times and has yet to leave. I think it’s her time.

Also.. Phillips version of ‘Volcano’ Totally reminded me of the song ‘Somebody that I Used to Know’ .. The way he sang it and how the girl was singing with him. That song is #1 and has been for weeks, i can see Phillips music selling the most out of all of them.

But i will say, Of course.. Jessica’s last performance was incredible. No denying that.

  • Anonymous

I had two favorite performances tonight — Joshua’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and Philip’s “Volcano”. I think this is the first time since maybe his audition that I’ve really liked one of Philip’s performances. Color me shocked…lol. But I have to give him credit — he did justice to Damien Rice, and that’s not easy to do. It wasn’t an original arrangement, but that’s ok. I’m a big fan of Joshua’s, although sometimes he is too OTT for me. But I loved IAMMMW…he blew the roof off the place with that.

Jessica did a great job on the Dreamgirls’ song, but I’ve heard that song covered by so many people that it is hard for me to get too excited about it.

I think Hollie is finally going home. She was kind of left in the dust by the other 3 in the round of 2nd songs, although she wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination.

  • Anonymous

    my ideal outcome tomorrow:

hollie got dragged so people will sympathy vote. she’s in the bottom, but safe.
joshua had slayedT it in the second half of the show so he gets a nice push in the votes. top of the night.
jessica had a great night and closed it out with a show stopper and picks up some casual votes on top of her rabid fanbase. she is safe.
phillip had an over all good night and great comments from the judges but his fanbase is left complacent thinking he is safe since he was awful last week but didn’t even touch bottom. he is at least in the bottom, and hopefully voted off.

  • Anonymous

I don’t think we will know who is in the bottom 2. Since (at least) S8, they have just said who is safe, rather than separating them into Top 2 and Bottom 2

  • Anonymous

Phillip’s not exactly “original”, either. Based on recent Idol contestants I’d probably say he’s the least original, lol.

  • Kylee

If that was the definition of “nasty,” then I would hate to see what Simon would have been like to her.

  • Anonymous

Damien Rice is a wonderful singer-songwriter and Phillip adding nothing new to the song.

  • Anonymous

If you thought Jessica’s singing tonight was one dimensional you just weren’t listening.

And by the way, Phillip adding nothing to a song that is much better in the original version. He’s no Damien Rice.

  • Anonymous

I’m voting for Jessica tonight!  Loved her 2nd performance!  She deserves to be there in the Final 2!!!  Yay, Jess!!!!

Americans dont vote for the best. This is a popularity contest………………

  • too-cool-for-school

Who says he has to add something new to it? With the original being as good as it is, I fail to see why anything needs to be drastically changed. He sang it well. What more can one ask for without being overtly demanding/picky?

    Phillip’s Volcano, studio version:

  • Anonymous

I didn’t really like any of the performances.

A few were pretty well sung but… that didn’t make me like them to go listen to them a few times tonight or want to listen to them tomorrow or to not want to click on the original artists video midway through

That’s the standard I set for the show and while the kids techinically might be better singers than we’ve ever had, if an entertainer can’t make you really want to go play their songs or listen to them covering a song when you’re out on a walk or someting.. they’ve failed.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/WXU2G6SHUFVS4FYZMFXP43MBYY Paul Smith

Jennifer Lopez really needs to go…she serves no purpose on this show.  I wanted so bad just to yell at my TV and say: IT’S CALLED A CELLO, AND SHE IS A CELLIST.  And what is a “contestant show?”  But I digress…

    My take on the show:
Phil- He’s back. The CCR jam was money.  Sang the melody well, kept true to the original but still manged sneak in a couple of his Philisms in there so you knew it was him.  And Volcano was the performance of the night, imo.  As an aspiring musician, I can say that its much more impressive when someone sits back and delivers a simple piece with that kind of patience and raw emotion than it is to string along huge runs (you can teach the latter with vocal exercises, but not the former)

Josh- Good…thought he was a bit under at the beginning of the Groban tune.  I’m glad he showed a bit of restraint on that song.  He definitely oversang it still, but it could have been worse.  I’m not really impressed whenever anyone sings This is a Man’s World, just cause it has been sung every which way already.  I personally prefer the more subdued versions like Michael Lynch’s version from a few seasons ago.

Jessica- I’m gonna be honest…I just don’t like her.  Has nothing to do with her vocal talents.  She sang fine, but the song choices were just so predictable.  Every winner has taken chances at some point or at least shined when the theme didn’t necessarily suit their style…but she hasn’t shown me anything outside of R&B/pop.

Hollie- Faithfully is only a showstopper when a guy sings it, just b/c those notes are just so up there.  I feel like even the big notes were still in her power range.  The Bonnie Raitt song was lackluster too.

Jessica and Hollie in b2.  hollie goes home

Have to say I disagree.  Just because you felt a different way then the judges and most people about Hollie’s 2nd performance doesn’t mean they are all wrong and you are right especially when you’re in the minority here – pertaining to her 2nd song.

Hollie’s 1st performance was strong but her 2nd song was boring, emotionless , and flat out terrible.  I don’t understand why they’re not allowed to give a real critique of her when she’s not good.  Every performance Hollie has is amazing for you no matter what, and that’s okay cause that’s your opinion but others are allowed to disagree.

Oh and Jessica was trending worldwide multiple times tonight for each song.

Hollie was not trending anywhere for anything tonight.

Worldwide appeal is a beautiful thing.

  • http://twitter.com/Jakeysnakey19 Jake Williams

LOL! Even the dolphin hates Phil.

  • Anonymous

What about Phillip? Sure he was decent tonight, but he kinda stunk 80% of the time. Haven’t been a fan of his since his audition, and still can’t believe that they allowed him to play guitar during it. Hollie, Jessica, and Joshua sing circles around him, but he get’s the “true artist” label. Sigh…

Hollie has given many solid performances, her tone is lovely, and her voice is the only one left in this competition that I love. If by some miracle she manages to make the finale and/or win I think it would be deserved. She won’t though because my faves never win. *crossingmyfingersthatshesurvivesanotherweekthough*

I agree that America doesn’t always vote for the best, but what one person considers the best and what another person considers the best is(talent aside)for the most part a matter of opinion. IMO Haley was the best last year, but she didn’t even make the finale. Had she been pimped from the start like Scotty and Lauren were, then maybe things would have been different.

last year DI had haley (#4) and james (#3) as the bottom. the year before, casey (#4) and bike mike (#3) were the bottom. this year, DI has josh (#4) and p2 (#3) as the bottom. each top 4 had the #3 DIer voted off… let’s hope the trend keeps up :)

  • too-cool-for-school

    Joshua’s studio of ‘It’s a Man’s World’ and Phillip’s of ‘Volcano’ are A+ stuff.

wow jessica is winning this week on dialidol, just like scotty beat everyone on dialidol last season.

  • Anonymous

I’m so happy that Hollie’s and Jessica’s duet is available as a studio recording! Will definitely be buying that one. The snippet alone sounds awesome.<3

OT. I know they only did a studio recording for the duets once last year too, but I still wish I had studios of Moanin' and Gunpowder And Lead. Both would've been killer, and of course both took place during the results show. So chances are that they would not have been recorded anyway. Oh, and I still want a duet between Haley and Scotty, but I know the chances of that happening now are slim. She does a convincing job singing country though. Wouldn't mind if that duet appeared on Scotty's sophomore album. ;)

  • Anonymous

And last week, DI had Skylar #1 and Hollie #2. I don’t think that we can rely on its predictions anymore.

  • BonnieDee

Joshua had the best  performance with Man’s World, followed by Jessica’s I’m Telling You IMO.  They are both amazingly talented.  Hollie was third, and Phil fourth, for me.

  • Trina

Scotty dominated DI last season. He would literally shoot up to 1st place and always had a huge lead, EVERY week. No one is performing like that on DI this season. And DI proved to be useless after last week.

  • Anonymous

Dial Idol have accurate scores at this point in time! top 4 onward we can rely on Dial Idol. and Skylar got eliminated last week and probably Dial Idol went wrong but the scores was quite close  but Jessica has WAYYYY higher score than the second contestant. hmm let us see tomorrow if I right :)

  • IMHO

I could only get through two performances tonight without hitting fast forward. Those were Hollie’s and Joshua’s second songs. Part of me wants Jessica to win because that would (please) conclusively close all the WGWG nonsense but I have no desire to ever hear anything she sings. P2 winning would be bad for everybody including him. I don’t think Hollie has a snowball’s chance of winning. Joshua is my best remaining hope. I don’t honestly see any of them setting the music world on fire but I still wish them all every possible success.

We all know that Hollie and Philip deserve to go, they’re no fantastic singers.  They can bring good renditions, but their voice is just not awesome.  Joshua on the other hand is overpraised, as if indeed he is the best one in all the world LOL.   I do know that like Jessica, they are like old souls when they sing, you couldn’t believe that they can tackle it.  I just don’t see myself buying old craps from Josh’s future CD while Jess can carve a niche in R&B, soul and Dance songs.

  • http://www.facebook.com/takakupo Joshua Kaanaana

Joshua was grating tonight. His first performance was from a pageant. His second had beautiful staging but his vocals were a mess.

  • http://www.facebook.com/takakupo Joshua Kaanaana

    Round 1 goes to Hollie.

Philip and Jessica felt really karaoke like they were singing at a bar and Joshua was doing a pageant. I couldn’t get through any of their songs without tuning out at some point. Hollie was the only one who really went anywhere with her selection. It was beautiful staging and she looked like a rock star.

Round 2, it pains me to say, went to Philip.
Jessica was grand but I think we’ve seen this performance before and it felt a little too much like she was trying to be Jennifer Hudson except we don’t see all the pain that she’s going through. Joshua was abysmal. I loved the staging there with all of the band members on stage but his swagger was not happening and his vocals were a mess. This is honestly one of those performances that’s being praised for screams imitating notes. Mary Byrne did it better on X-factor UK and so did that girl on the Voice (Juliet Simms?). I felt like Hollie took a step back on her second selection and found herself over thinking.
As for Philip, I am not a fan at all but “Volcanoes” was exceptional. I liked the intimacy of it and the back-up vocalist I may have liked better than Phil. Based on his body of work though and his first performance I would send him home. Based on the night overall, I would send home Joshua but he’s had some outstanding performances so definitely deserves to round out the top 3 with Hollie and Jessica.

Dialidol is not credible. Skylar Laine topped the dialidol last week, but she got eliminated. i hope fans and others vote for Jessica Sanchez.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/22WJ7E4VAXGNXLSPXYRJZVJXOI broddy

First of all, on the voting:  what are SOME of you people THINKING…?!?!  Joshua’s “It’s A Man’s World” coming in third..?!  And for favorite Idol, he’s LAST? My jaw is on the floor.  “It’s A Man’s World” rivals Fantasia’s “Summertime” and may even be better.  This is one of the best performances in Idol history.  What the flip are y’all not voting for it?  I mean, REALLY?  This guy brings it week after week, and he’s last with the votes?  I love “And I Am Telling You” like everyone else, and I do love Jessica.  But her performance was nowhere near as good as either of the Jennifers, or even LaKisha back several seasons ago.  Great performance, yes, but she did not (probably could not) take that song to the heights it needs to be taken to.   I do like Phillip and he did a great job, but I don’t think he deserves to be in the Finale, I’m sorry.

As for Hollie — although, yes, she does have some deficiencies, I think she has a more interesting tone and style than Jessica at times — but she frequently just chooses the wrong songs.   How in the world she came about choosing Journey and Bonnie Raitt songs is beyond me.  No one is helping the girl.  It is without question that she should have chosen Celine Dion, and probably something like “My Heart Will Go On.”  She could have cut that to pieces and gotten some big praise tonight.  Poor thing.

I want Joshua in the Finale.  Period.  Don’t care who the other one is.  Probably Jessica would make it the most interesting competitively, however.

For what it’s worth, over at Dialidol, they have their first solo top vote getter since Top 13 in Jessica Sanchez. All their previous top vote getters (including twice for Jessica Sanchez) had range qualifications in them, like 1 to 4, or 1 to 5, 1 to 6, etc. Hope it means for something, especially after voting for Jessica for 2 hours straight.

  • Anonymous

Josh was the best by a mile this week.

  • Anonymous

Jessica has barely sung ballads, hello Steal Away!

  • Anonymous

I disagree, Joshua on his second song was spectacular, positively awesome

  • Anonymous

Hollie should not have been in the the bottom as much as she has been. the screaming that the other two have done is so old and the over praise is over the top. I do know i will never watch idol again after this year don’t like the judges and them pimping who they want to win and the standing Os every week for some singers the show is done for me Randy has made it clear who he wants to win this is the only reality show i watch and will be the last

  • Anonymous

Wow! Jessica Sanchez is trending no. 1 in practically all polls all over the world! Very encouraging for all of us who voted 2 straight hours for Jessica Sanchez!

Just want Joshua in the finale. I think he is fantastic.

  • http://twitter.com/Loretta31 Loretta

You may be sad because it just may be Joshua.  I will cheer as to my ears he is far from the best singer on Idol ever ever.  His tone grates, his screeching is annoying and to my ears loudest isn’t best.  I way preferred Phil and Hollie last night.

  • http://twitter.com/Loretta31 Loretta

Dial has both of Joshua’s lines dead last by a lot in raw and busy% so this isn’t the same case as Skylar who was dial idoled high but had a mixed raw and busy%.

Not sure Joshua has a texting fanbase either.

So it seems that America may not think Joshua is the bestest singer ever on Idol.  Oh how I will enjoy the looks of shock and dismay on the 3 stooges faces if Joshua gets the boot.

My David is on tonight-CAN’t WAIT!!

Maybe David can help Randy remember what singing is?  That it isn’t all growling, screeching and gospelizing.  That sweet tender renditions with emotion & heart felt also have value.

  • Anonymous

I’m sure I’m in a minority here, but I thought P2’s vocal last night was a winner, simply because it was counterpoint to the big singing.  There was too much oversinging and too many emotionally over the top vocals:  they were good, they are excellent singers, but they make for a show with little variety.

Joshua deserves to win, but if he doesn’t, he will be fine.  I suspect the same goes for Jessica, although I think I don’t need to hear from her until she turns twenty.  Holly will have a harder time; she has such a powerful voice it is hard to do subtlety.  I can’t imagine what she will sing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=34307244 Shana Collier

Signs point to Joshua going home.  I think it could be a result of the judges WAY overpraising him and people just get tired of the favoritism.  OR I feel like he may share a fanbase with Jessica and she seemed to really step it up last night.

Problem is IF Joshua goes home, I really don’t know if either of the girls has what it takes to beat P2.

  • Incipit

Ho Hum. There are some great voices this season – juxtaposed with mostly terrible song choices. I did try to watch the last hour – but I fell asleep right after the duets. Or during them.  So I had to look online. The over baked Big Song retreads went big. The other Big Songs also went Big. Shock Surprise. Except, there were no surprises. Nobody to vote for. That ‘songs you wished you wrote’ list must have been almighty sparse.

Most of tonight was “Songs I Didn’t Want to Hear Again”. I was curious about  exactly two of them.

I ‘was’ looking forward to Jessica doing the oh so ‘age appropriate’ “Steal Away”. (Jimmy?) Hard to commit to the ‘sexy’ in that song with “appropriate” hanging over her head – so roughing up the vocals instead was a good option, I guess.

The only song I didn’t know at all – “Volcano”. TY, youtube. Damien Rice is not an artist who would interest me – but I listened to his track, then I listened to Phillip doing the song. What was the big different there?  Anything? I couldn’t tell. I did like Phillip’s back up singer better than Damien’s…and she carried a lot of this song.

But, it may have been the best choice that he made/was made for him all season – because the range of notes stayed in his range of capabilities. Highest score he ever got from the whole Idolsphere sampling on WNTS – an 82 (pre finalization) that passes his next most approved of performance, the Usher song at 79. So good for him.

Consistently, the memorable thing for me about Phillip’s performances has been any appearance of the sax player. But I love saxophone playing, and I don’t share Phillip’s taste in music, while the execution? Ouch. Every week. “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” was a collection of ‘just missed’ notes. Flat ones. I could pick out each word, but what’s the use?

As a Top Four week, this was a (literal) snooze for me.

    JMO. Of Course.

I thought this was a seriously boring show; I wasn’t really paying attention to most of the performances by the end of them. The contestants are either picking songs I hate (I’m Not Telling You…, It’s a Man’s Man’s World), picking songs I have never heard before and don’t care to hear again (Faithfully, Steal Away) or turning songs I quite like into songs I hate (Have You Ever Seen the Rain, You Raise Me Up).

Hollie is my favourite but she was underwhelming, Joshua is like the boy who cried wolf (ie I don’t care how amazing he is, I’ve heard it before and just tune out the squawking), Jessica makes my ears ring and I don’t listen to Phillip anymore.

That sounds so grumpy. They’re all just doing what they do, I guess. But I’m still bored.

  • idolstruck

Phillip’s been introducing us to these obscure yet hauntingly beautiful songs  w/ his amazing interpretations and for that effort alone, he made me a huge fan all over again. In Volcano, there’s no need for him to shout out, scream/screech high notes just to prove that he is what it takes to be an Idol winner and yet a lot of us can’t help but appreciate his low key performance and that shows real talent. So much vulnerability in that song and I just love it! His ability to connect to the audience is just amazing! Phillip is the complete package and I think win or lose, he will have a terrific career after Idol.

  • Anonymous

I woudn’t blame the contestants for the song choices. They probably have a list of 5 songs for the 4 of them in each category!

  • Anonymous

Joshua should win.  Jimmy said he is getting a record so it doesn’t matter if he wins or not but  he should win.  Voice, performance, style–he has it all.

Phil2 should come in second.  He is an artist.  He is a performer. He is ready to record.  He does not have a big voice and  all I can say is thank god because if nothing else last night showed we need variety.

Hollie.    Her songs felt very dated.  I rarely like her song choices but I always love her voice–last night that wasn’t enough.  I suspect she is leaving.

Jessica saved herself with her last song.  She is getting a record deal  so I would prefer to have Hollie come in third but it will be Jessica.  I continue to believe she is an extraordinary mimic–something that will have to be untrained if she is to became a great artist.  She continues to be my least favorite.

  • http://twitter.com/raya4 raya

I still think Hollie is going tonight, but if there is a idol “victim” so to speak of this Hollie vs. Jessica war that seems to be raging on and on, it’s going to be Joshua.  It won’t be Phil and there is no doubt in my mind that Jessica will be safe tonight.  Though if Joshua were to go, I would think the over the top hyperbole would also be partly to blame.  I know people complain Jessica is overpraised, but the praise Jessica gets isn’t anywhere close to the kind of praise heaped on Josh.

  • Anonymous

I voted for an hour last night for Jessica-most I’ve voted all season-will be tough if they do a bottom two-hope they just send someone home.
I did enjoy Volcano by Phil-one of his two performances I’ve really liked-I’m just not a laid back singer fan but he was good.
I’d send Hollie home only because for me she’s pretty generic-the other three have style IMO only.

You said it, Idolstruck. couldn’t agree more.  Volcano left me reeling. It was mesmerizing.  And so is he.

All polls etc point to Joshua going home.  Just check on here, Joshua is last by a lot.  This may just be how the on-line fans of Idol feel but dial shows the same.

I haven’t managed to watch the whole programme yet, wasn’t able to, my husband turned over as he couldn’t stand watching ‘the pathetic judges making stupid comments’ about the girl who can really sing (Hollie). He doesnt watch enough to know the names, but saw one of her performances last week and thought she was brilliant. Will have to catch up on a rerun over the weekend.
Will say that although I’ve never enjoyed Joshua as a performer, just not my kind of singing, I did think he has a good voice, but the last couple of weeks I really seem to be going off his personality too, and out of the final 4 I wouldn’t mind any of the other 3 winning over him.

  • Anonymous

LOL! By the end of 2 hours voting straight for Jess, my fingers were numbed with pain! Hope she makes it to Top 3. Would love to see her San Diego home coming this coming week!

Nice to actually *like* PhilPhil for a change. Seemed to me that he did these songs thoughtfully and I enjoyed them, felt I was hearing a true personal interpretation instead of an “I’m-not-sure-what-to-do-with-this-so-I’ll-fall-back-on-my-old-standby-vocal-and-performance-tics” rendition. Good job, PhilPhil. Maybe he felt better this week or something? had more energy?

Jessica — It is unbelievably hard to express something unrestrainedly while actually *singing* in a technical way at the same time, and, boy, can she do it. At 16. Amazing night for her, I thought.

Josh — not his best night but not bad either. Stop giving him these stupid standing ovations and putting him in the category of the angels, three jud(stoo)ges. Dumb.

Hollie — still absolutely adore her voice but I feel as if she’s got a ways to go to really find herself and figure out how to get the emotion across in every song. I thought that Jimmy did the best he could in giving her advice but that it was hard to give the right advice clearly. I think he meant, ‘Don’t over*sing*’ — as in, don’t completely soar and luxuriate in lush melodies in this song. I think he meant “Act and express instead of giving free rein to your soaring vocals.” And I think that was the right advice, and, as usual, I think that she basically understood him and really tried to follow the advice (because she, like Joshua and Jessica, has a great, very professional attitude about improving herself; it’s one of the things that impresses me most about those three, at their young ages …) Anyway, at this point, though, I don’t think Hollie has figured out how to connect with songs consistently, partly because she’s (understandably) seduced by her beautiful beautiful instrument and the urge to let it do all the work, rather than having it be a channel for her and for the song. (Kelly C, whose voice I also love, does this consistently, I’d say. Hollie’s young, though, and she can and will learn. She’s not Pia, who hasn’t learned and who I don’t think is going to.)

Anyway, I’ll now be sorry to see go whoever it is who goes tonight. They all have a lot of potential. I don’t think any of them is completely soup yet, though. And I don’t know that any of them is going to find a niche where he/she can be a really top earner. PhilPhil’s genre is a modest one, even if you’re pretty successful there (and in his case, that depends on the quality of his originals and, if they’re good, whether they let him record all or most all originals). I think Jessica has the best shot, with an urbanish niche, though I think she may have a bit of an image problem when it comes to being a really mainstream success. I think Josh is going to face a lot of competition, will have to become somewhat less gospelly and may also not quite have the image that people are going to think sells. I still don’t know what Hollie’s going to sing that will really use her gift. The soaring-pop-diva era seems to be over, and I don’t think the music industry has a lot of interest in allowing Idols to rejuvenate genres or institute new ones. As for pretty tweenie pop songs — that might work, but in my limited familiarity with that genre, I’m not aware of  anybody who’s really made it there without a tv show or a Disney-machine backing or the like. Is there anybody?

Worldwide appeal is a beautiful thing.

Useless for the show itself though and only useful afterwards if one manages to get far enough in the show.

That said, Hollie went back to boring last night, no surprise she wasn’t trending.

The producers are going to be very upset if Joshua is sent packing.  They have declared him to be the best evah, and going home is not in their plans.  If he goes, he can thank the judges for all the overpraise and standing O’s.

i’m really cringing at reading these “true artist/musician” labels with regards to PeePee

seriously watch Idol only for entertainment.  if you want to see and hear true artists, you have to expand your horizon, listen to music OUTSIDE these glorified karaoke shows (Idol, The Voice or X-Factor), search for musicians beyond the mainstream TV/radio

I may not have voted for Hollie at all since I spent all the 2 hours voting for Jess, but I think, whether she stays or go, she will be remembered, even just for her fighting spirit alone. But really, Top 4 is already an accomplishment for any of them. I wish them all the luck in the world.

I hope Jess makes it to Top 3. Would love to see her San Diego homecoming!

  • fuzzywuzzy

At this point, I think that it’s obvious that Joshua, Jessica and P2 will all be signed to record deals. The only iffy one is Hollie, and I think that she needs to make it at least to the top 3 to be guaranteed a deal.

  • http://twitter.com/MoriaPolonius Moria Polonius

or will they allow a shocking boot

Who would be a shocking boot? The girl who’s been booted once, the girl who’s a perpetual bottom dweller, the black soul/gospel guy (so manny winners amongst those) or the wgwg who’s not capable of getting out of his box sounding halfway decent?

Jessica was the shocking boot this season, I don’t think there are any other left.

  • Tess

I have no idea who is going home but I do know that on-line idol bubble polls are filled with lots of folks who “can’t” vote or don’t vote in the real world.  And as far as dial-idol is concerned, considering they count busy signals they are missing all the on-line votes and ALL the text votes.  I don’t quite know how that works out to be a true predictor.

Again, I have no horse in the race and probably won’t be supporting any of these guys financially post idol…though down the line if Hollie and DeAndre mature like I think they will I might be buying something from them in the future.

I still have a craw in my belly, though, and it is the “save”.  If America voted and they didn’t vote for Jessica then I’m a little miffed that she continues to move on when others fall by the wayside.  I also think I dislike that the bubble disses Joshua just because the judges have gone a bit OTT and I think it is unfair that Phillip gets so much grief just because he is white and plays a guitar.

All that being said I think it has been a fun year and that lots can still happen in the next two weeks….but I truly feel this has been a year when it is much more about the show then the contestants.  It will be interesting to see how the tour shakes out.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Doran-Rayne/100001844671305 Doran Rayne

I think people need to let go about the “save” thing. It was part of the game, it’s a clean slate after that. just because america voted is irrelevant, that doesn’t mean she was the worst, there is a lot of manipulation going on, you could make an argument that Hollie should have been gone a few times but due to pity votes she remained.

  • alterego

Re Dial Idol.  Last week they ranked 1) Skylar, 2) Hollie, 3)Josh, 4)Jessica, 5)Phillip.

    So much for their reliability.

  • Anonymous

I would love to see real evidence of this happening. Honestly, if they really wanted Hollie gone, and were going to do it in a shady manner, they would have done it long ago.  The simple fact is, Hollie’s base isn’t as big as her fans think it is, which is why she is perpetually in the bottom.  No conspiracies needed.

  • Anonymous

This contest in the past couple of years has stopped being very interesting at about this point.  I think it is because there is writing on the wall – and this year there are just so many big belters.  My interest flagged some last night, also, but it may be because of the above or because I saw the Voice the night before.  Too much of anything is too much.

  • Anonymous

It’s gotten to the point where the judges have ruined this show with their behavior toward Joshua and Jessica, who are by far their favorites and let it be known.  They are not supposed to be biased and should be treating all Idols equally, but this has never been done and is worse this year than ever before.  There is no way that Joshua earned and deserved all those Standing O’s and belittled others that aren’t their favorites.

  • http://twitter.com/raya4 raya

The save doesn’t bother me because it’s a known part of the Idol game and has been for several seasons, therefore IMO it’s perfectly fair.  For me it’s really no different than the judges getting to choose wildcards season to season.  The save was announced long before Jessica got the boot and if it hadn’t been used on her it would have been someone else, so for me there was nothing shady there.  Now if TPTB had magically announced the save the day they knew Jessica was in danger, I’d have a problem with it, but considering we knew it was in play from Top 13 it’s all good, for me of course.

However, I am expecting if Jessica manages to find her way to the finals and potentially a win, there will be all sorts of backlash about the unfairness of the save and what not.  Because potentially this is the first time a save was used on a person that might actually have a legitimate shot at winning, or at the very least making it to the final 2.

  • http://twitter.com/tinawinabina Tinawina

Well since the whole reason for the save was to reinstate people who were 1. actually popular but got voted off on a fluke or 2. so talented that the judges felt they deserved a second chance to connect with the audience, I’d say Jessica’s run is making a pretty good case for its use. She was never B3 before it was used and hasn’t been B3 since, she’s highly unlikely to go tonight, and she just might make the final 2. Maybe. So apparently people have liked her enough to get her pretty deep into the contest. I don’t think there are a majority of angry she was saved at the moment, or angry that the save exists.

I don’t know who is going tonight. Hollie performed the worst overall (though not really bad), Phil has been underwhelming for a while though he was good last night, Jessica & Joshua are good but very similar in style so it stands to reason both of them can’t keep advancing. Should be interesting.

  • http://twitter.com/MissGolightly22 No Thanks

Judges are supposed to judge.  And if they’re doing their job right, they’re gonna like a performance better than another one every week.  They’re not a cheerleading squad.

“If America voted and they didn’t vote for Jessica then I’m a little miffed that she continues to move on when others fall by the wayside”

I’m sorry you feel that way but from where I stand, Jessica was just as worthy of the save as much as Elise and Colton were. Skylar is a different situation because even had the save not been used on Jessica, leaving at Top 5, the save couldn’t have been used on her.

I’m just grateful they used the save on Jessica because i believe she is just as worthy as any of the other contestants, including those who received the save in past Idol years, to receive the save.

Although I doubt it very much, but Jessica could leave tonight. And if she does, I am grateful they saved her, even just for one last time to listen to her sing “And I Am Telling You”.

But I’m still hoping she makes it to Top 3.

All except Hollie are peaking at the right moment.
P2- So happy to see him push himself to another level. Love his voice in “Volcano”, reminded me of Sting.
Joshua – So happy to see him smiling finally and enjoying being himself.
Jessica – So happy to see her finally giving it all out. Nice to see her getting emotional like that. Feel more like a human than a singing machine finally.
Hollie – She has fought her way to top 4. Good for her!
Bottom 2: Hollie and Joshua (just because Joshua’s vote is been split off from another male contestant, WGWG, and from another power singer)
    Going Home: Hollie

The judges are ridiculous morons, the way they were slobbering over Josh, you could even see his discomfort.  Please no way in hell was last night better than any singer on any singing show or best ever on Idol, it was sub par at best as he screeched thru a few more songs

  • Trina

Headline News showed lengthy clips of Joshua and Jessica this morning when they did their AI recap. The anchor kept saying “wow, wow” when they showed the clip of Josh hitting that crazy note. Clearly the people at HLN are tonedeaf morons who are working with Idol to pimp J&J lol.

There is no way that Joshua earned and deserved all those Standing O’s and belittled others that aren’t their favorites.

2 weeks ago Hollie, who is supposedly always being bussed got the pimp spot and a standing O. was she not deserving of that?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ron-Hep/100001399787985 Ron Hep

I don’t think Jessica has been getting that much uncalled for praise. They have been often praising poor perefermances from others such as Skylar, Colton and P2, and dumping on Jessica, even if her performance was much better than the others. Joshua has been good, but the excessive over the top comments and SO’s for Josh have been a bit silly and could backfire on him. They do praise P2 though much of the time, even if he is aweful, which is quite a lot. I think the final will come down to Jessica and either P2 or Joshua. Joshua probably deserves it more, but for some reason, I think his fanbase is not anywhere as large as either Jessica’s or P2’s. If it is Jessica and Joshua in the final, I reallly think Jessica will take it. If it is P2 and Jessica, it will be harder to dislodge P2.

Reading the comments about ‘moments’ and the best songs EVAH to have been sung on Idol, I have to disagree with the judges. I have watched Idol since it’s very first show so sitting here I think back to what ‘I’ think were the best moments on Idol or ‘game changers’.

There have been many moments. Fantasia’s Summertime I think was the very first for the women on the show. She plopped right down on the floor and slayed that song.

Katherine McPhee’s Somewhere Over The Rainbow. FLAWLESS.

David Cook’s ‘Hello’. Right off the bat he made people go whoa, where did THAT come from, but it was his Eleanor Rigby that was a truly showstopping moment. His Billie Jean WOW. While we are at it, if we want to go for ‘crazy notes’ sung on Idol then I want to nominate Cook’s ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ ending notes. It reverberated off the whole audience. I could go on and on about Cook, for ‘me’ he consistently had the most moments out of all the contestants ever on Idol.

Adam Lambert’s Ring of Fire. I think was the most polarizing song that has been sung on Idol. People passionately loved it or hated it. Personally I loved it, Adam hit some crazy notes I have never heard on Idol before OR after. His Mad World was an insanely awesome moment.

Other worthy mentions but not quite as high on the scale for me. Clay Aiken’s Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Bo Bice’s Acapella In A Dream, Taylor Hicks You Are So Beautiful, Micheal Johns Across The Universe, David Archuletta had many moments too.

It’s these moments that keep me tuning into Idol and frankly I have missed since Lambert’s season. Last night I finally got my moments. Would I put them above the above moments? No, but I would put them in my worthy mentions.

The best group of singers on Idol EVAH? Season 7 hands down. That talent pool was deep. I think we will still be hearing new things from many from that season for years to come.

Hollie has consistantly had conflicting advise from Jimmie.  No wonder she has problems.  She is the one they tell not to over sing then when the other 3 do, they are the best that has ever been on Idol (and they all have over sung). It has been obvious for some time they didn’t want Hollie.

Joshua stood out for me from the start, but as time has gone by he has traveling down hill.  I get tired of all the high screaming notes and it comes off too much like he is in church.  The second thing for me personally is he comes off a little arrogant when the judges are drooling all over him with high praise comments.

Jessica I don’t care for at all on any level no matter what the song is.  She is another one that likes to scream and impress with the high notes and there is more to singing than all the high notes.  She also comes off arrogant to me.

P2 is very likeable and I really liked his song choices from last night, however, I am confused on what his genre is.  I just can’t figure out where he belongs in the music industry.

Hollie as far as voices goes would be my pick.  I love the tone of her voice and I think she has become the sacrifial lamb in this group.  I am just disappointed that the judges have been so hard on her at times.  They can’t wait to get rid of her and it comes thru loud and clear.

Sklar and Colton were my favorites and they are gone so it shouldn’t matter but I have since thrown my votes Hollie just because I can’t stand that the judges have been so critical of her and drooling all over Jessica and Joshua.

They all get conflicting advice from Jimmy and the judges.  That’s certainly not a problem unique to Hollie.

    In order:

    Joshua “It’s a Man’s World”
    Jessica “Steal Away”
Phillip “Volcano” (I never thought he would be one of my favs tonight)
    Jessica “And I’m telling you….”
    Hollie “Faithfully”
Hollie “I Can’t Make You Love Me” (I never thought this was so bad)
Phillip “Have You Seen The Rain?”/Joshua’s “You Raised Me Up” (I think I fell asleep during these performances)

P2 falls naturally somewhere in the alt rock/AAA continuum, where street cred involves writing one’s own songs with a distinct POV, while gorgeous vocals are a nifty tool rather than a career necessity. While I’m not on the P2 train, there is sense and consistency to P2 developing a fan base among people who are interested in a AAA or alt-blues-ish sound.

For Sanchez and Ledet, I tend to agree with tinawina that the vocal style is very R&B and is appropriate for R&B. Honestly, I enjoy Ledet more when he’s singing up-tempo songs (floved the Bruno Mars cover) and I could see him going a Mars-ish or maybe Ne Yo-ish direction. But heck, I like Sanchez and even Cavanagh better when they show their sassy sides, so I think we’ve identified my bias in dealing with big-voiced singers.

Phil Phil is most liked here when he sings a song (Volcano) without changing it from the original (even the staging was like the official Damien Rice video), yet he’s the “artist”? Interesting….and contradicting

I don’t usually enjoy Phillip’s voice, but his rendition of “Volcano” was just beautiful (to be honest, he had me at “Damien Rice”!). The original song is almost 10 years old, so it was cool to see it shoot to number 31 on itunes after this performance. Speaking of Damien Rice, I would love to see two contestants perform a duet of “9 crimes” I think it would be amazing.

I also loved Joshua’s “It’s a Man’s World”. This was one of my favorite Joshua performances.

Again, I think it will be Joshua going home, but more to the fact that his second line thanked people for voting for “Contestant #2″ ( Hollie) when it was used. It took me a second call to realize that. I could not get through to vote on his first line except for twice during my two hour window of opportunity.

So… I cried three times last night.

Volcano, This is a mans world, and I am telling you…

I am a huge P2 fan. If I were to buy music from any of the top 4, it would be his no doubt. That being said, I think Joshua and Jessica are obviously far superior when it comes to vocal ability.
If Hollie goes home tonight, which im guessing she will, I will have a hard time watching the next result show.
Also, if Hollie goes home tonight, this will be my favorite top 3 ever.

For most of Joshuas performances I like how he starts a song but cant stand when he screams at the end.I just wish he wouldn’t get so manic [which the judges overpraise constantly]
I actually liked Jessica’s last performance -for the first time I felt connected to what she was singing.
Phillip was good in his 2nd performance.
My favourite performance of the night was Hollies first song-I thought she did a great job & her tone was wonderful. I think her 2nd song suffered from being confused by Jimmy saying dont go OTT [why doesn’t he say that to Joshua & Jessica?]
