Phillip Phillips visited Seacrest Studios at Children’s Hospital Colorado, meeting with excited patients and their families. Ryan Seacrest has built broadcast media centers in children’s hospitals across the country. Often, he has celebrities drop by to talk and perform for the kids.

The American Idol season 11 winner answered a few questions prepared by the kids, and sang his big hit, Gone, Gone, Gone, as the participants happily sang along. I’m posting the video here, because it is pretty damn cute.

When asked what cartoon character Phillip would like to hang out with for an afternoon, Phillip answered, “Bugs Bunny!” because he’s “old school.” He also revealed that if he could take a ride on the back of any wild animal, he’d choose the cheetah. The kids laughed when Phillip played “Backwards Forwards.” With help from the studio audience, he was challenged to say “Simba Spaghetti Singer” forwards and replicate the way it sounded backwards. Fun in the studio!

After his performance, it was autographs and hugs all around before Phillip was on his way. Pretty adorable stuff.
