Newly minted American Idol, Phillip Phillips, stopped by The Tonight Show last night to talk about the American Idol whirlwind.

In part 1, Phillip talks about how he felt when he won the title. “I forgot how to play the guitar!” he says and also meeting Rihanna and his unusual name. In part 2, he discusses his reason for auditioning, his health issues and “jamming out” on the tour. It’s not all about the singing, he says. Fun fact: Phillip had the most expensive clothes of everyone in the Top 12!

    I understand where you’re coming from with your tastes in voices. So although we may agree on both David’s and Phillip”s amount of personal charm and charisma, that is probably where the agreement ends…since i spent a blissful weekend at the Dave Matthews concerts in CT! 

    Oh well, at least we will probably both root for those two together in the future.
