Phillip Phillips Meets Aly Raisman (PHOTO)

Phillip Phillips played a show today at the Mix 104 lounge in Boston, MA ahead of the Idol Live show in Manchester NH tonight.

Look who he met…Aly Raisman. She’s one of the Fierce Five Women Olympic Gymnasts.  Phillip’s song, “Home” was the team’s theme song throughout their fabulous run in London. As many of you know, Aly won several medals, including gold for the floor exercise.

Phillip tweeted, “Met @Aly_Raisman this morning and she’s a lovely person. Very sweet. Great to meet her and her friends.”
Aly hails from Needham, MA.

    I must say Phillip looks good in all the pictures I’ve seen of him lately.  He looks genuinely Happy.  He must be feeling sooooooooooooo much better now that his Physical ails are better.  Such a contrast to how he looked on American Idol where he must have been in Pain a lot.
    Good for him and Ally is looking happy too!!  Nice to see them when they aren’t under stress of competing. 
    Wish them both well!

    Ha,ha! Acrually I met Phillip backstage at the after concert lounge party in Toronto, and we spoke for a while.  We talked about “Home”, and he told me that his only comment at the start was that it was not his own song, and he felt bad taking the credit for someone else’s work (and yes, he is that humble & genuine in person!)..he said he always liked the song, and it took a little time to get used to singing it and making it more his own style, but now he feels it’s more like him, and he totally loves it! He told me he loves performing it each time, more & more..he told me he is blown away at the response, and going Gold & Platinum etc etc…I told him it was his interpretation of the song that is getting to the fans/public..he really is proud of it, no doubt about it :)

    THANK YOU for setting the record straight.

    I have searched and searched and have yet to find a direct quote where Phillip emphatically says he does not like Home. Saying he did not write the song is a far stretch to saying he does not like the song.

    Oh, I’m sure this will come up again (and again), but the truth will always prevail.
