Paula Abdul, totally blinged out with the jewelry she’s selling on HSN, appeared on the The View this morning to chat with the harpies the girls.

On the death of Idol auditioner Paula Goodspeed, Paula says Goodspeed stalked her for 17 years, stalking Paula through her fan club before she auditioned for Idol.

Goodspeed was stalking Paula for years, yet the producers let her on the show? Uhm. OK. Goodspeed’s death, outside of Paula’s house, has pushed Paula to put her house on the market.

Seeming to take total credit for launching new judge, Kara DioGuardi’s, songwriting and producing career, Paula recounts meeting her in New York City 10 years ago, and then putting her up in her home in Los Angeles.

Paula spends the rest of her segment pimping the jewelry and accessories line she’ll be selling soon on HSN. Everyone in the audience gets free bling!

ETA: Paula tells People magazine that she hasn’t slept at home since Goodspeed died in front of her house. She was also stalked back in 1993 by a guy in jail.

If you can’t get enough of Paula, she’ll be on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet Tuesday, and The Martha Stewart Show, and The Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday. She recently taped a new MTV cheerleader squad competition special, Rah!, airing in January.

Watch Paula after the JUMP…

Hey Paula Mr T from the “A-Team” wants his jewlery back. Well that is one mistery solved and did not even need “those pesky kids and that dog”.”

Wow, that is just sad. She clearly had MAJOR problems that went back to when she was really young.

    Anything for “good” TV….

She was on GMA this morning too and went over the same territory. What was funny was that at the end of the interview, she kept telling Robin to “earmark” whatever she wanted and it was hers. Robin kept saying “I can’t take it” and Paula wouldn’t take no for an answer. I felt sorry for Robin! Don’t know if she just didn’t like it but it made sense that her position wouldn’t allow her to take anything from a guest.

Pauler is one strange gal, she needs more meds. On a good note her sister is beautiful. Pauler can never be replaced on idol, there isn’t anyone wacky enough. lol

So sad that when she almost already died, they didn’t (it doesn’t seem) do anything to stop her from doing it again.

I said before, they know damn well when these people are crazy. They sure would have known about Paula Goodspeed if they did a little research before putting her before the judges (there are 2 rounds before that point).

But yet they didn’t care. Not for that girl’s mental health OR Paula Abdul’s safety.

Paula is saying in interviews that she knew exactly who she was, and therefore was uncomfortable during Goodspeed’s audition. WTF? Why didn’t Paula stop the audition?

  • JOJOSIE

She probably didn’t have any say in it. I think Simon Fuller pretty much runs the show and he’s out for what he thinks is good TV. I feel the show oversteps the bounderies of good taste and ethics a lot.

The Idol producers could care less about anything but ratings. Think Paulagate and scripted lyric drops and you get the idea.

This woman is so sad and disturbed that she committed suicide in front of Paula’s house and Paula says the last five years have been hard on her, Paula. Hummmm. Seems to me they were a little hard on the woman so disraught she committed suicide, too. I didn’t hear much compassion. Who know though, in her shoes I might not be compassionate either. 16 years is a long time to be the target of someone somewhat imbalanced.
