E News had Miles on and he said that Adam and Kris will be wearing 6 (SIX!) different outfits for the Finale!

Adam’s Mad World beige leather jacket was dyed black and distressed which Adam wore for “Cryin”.

Kris is wearing fancy black jeans with a slight shine to them for the Finale.

On the contrary, I believe that Simon (and the rest) will be giving both of them praises because he doesn’t want his critiques to backlash.

It’s not going to be some surprise as a reward for Adam. That’s just stupid, and I want Adam to win. The duets are not that big a deal. I bet (guessing) it’s Black Eyed Peas that have been announced over and over again.

No one but us are going to remember the duets the next day. No one is going to be thrown under the bus. They are signing both Adam and Kris. Adam got slammed by O’Reilly tonight and Kris was pushed as the Christian Idol. Kris is getting praise all over for being the Christian, the straight safe guy, the anti-Adam. Everything is going Kris’ way. Even the NY Times are painting Adam as the Evil, in Good vs Evil. All sucks for Adam. No way in this world he can win with all this going against him. Not a chance in hell.

I am just a little tired of the whole Adam, gay, Kris, straight thing. It is annoying more than anything. I am voting for Kris. I am a Kris fan. It is because I love his voice and his style, his looks and his personality. It has nothing to do with gay/straight, married/single. The whole media spin is, from my perspective, taking away from both singers and their talent. It is insulting to Kris and his fans that the media is making it out that if you vote for Kris you must be a bigot. It is also insulting to Adam and to his fans that the media is making it out that if you vote for Adam you must be pro-gay. No one should be voting for either of these guys based on their sexual orientation or marital status. What a lot of hog wash. Both are talented and I hope it will be a great show tomorrow night with both of them shining and everyone who votes voting for their favorite contestant based on their artistry.

As for today’s kids not being familiar with ’70s and ’80s music, have you heard of a couple of video games called Guitar Hero and Rock Band? My 11 year-old nephew knows more about some of the hard rock songs from those decades than I do.

Most of O Reilly’s audience are those that would have never voted for Adam in the first place or those that tune in to see what kind of stupid things he’ll say and never agree with him anyways. I’m sorry but O Reilly is an idiot and I doubt this will seriously sway anyone’s votes.

I am also for an Adam win but I’m just preparing myself emotionally if it didn’t go my way. It’s not that Kris is not talented but most favorable forces are behind him…Danny’s votes, “Christian” votes (though I am also a Christian), homophobes, etc. O’reilly doesn’t bother me because almost everyone hates him anyway.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to a good finale performances from both and will still vote for Adam.

I did a quick Wiki of Jorgen Eloffssen because I knew it looked super familiar…of the coronation/finale songs, he’s written 2: “A Moment Like This” and “Angels Brought Me Here.” most of his background is with European artists/Idol-type shows, at least more recently: ShayneWard (X-Factor Winner), Guy Sebastian (Austrailian Idol), Gareth Gates (Pop Idol, runner-up). My expectations for the song just dropped even lower than they were before.

exactly!! im sure there will be people voting against adam, as i am sure some jackazzes voted against ruben or fantasia because of the color of their skin. seriously, in the end..it WILL NOT MATTER. its about talent and who performs the best tomorrow night (to grab the casual viewer’s vote). plus from what ive seen, adam is still leading 60-55 % on every online poll.

The people around the table are all big fans of Adam since the beginning if you read their columns, no surprise there. I doubt that you will feel pissed if you weren’t a big fan of Kris.
It’s not unfair for a columnist to support one contestant in particular, this roundtable is not even printed on the newspaper, it’s a reunion of AI fans who express their opinions and put it on the web, it’s very similar to what Idolatry is (without the clever editing and humour).

I don’t think its an Adamfest at all. Now Ann Powers from the LA Times is an Adam fan, and uses Adam as an example, but the others don’t. I would encourage everyone to listen to it. Ricky Minor gives some good insight as well. Rickey said that Allison handled the pressure the most and Matt the least. Its a good roundtable.

They just have their own opinions and it just happen to be that most music critics go for Adam (which of course is flattering). At any rate, based on Rickey’s unconscious “thoughts” when he commented on the host’s thoughts that Kris has more room to surprise now than Adam, he said that that’s not always the case. There’s always somewhere else to go. A beautiful person can become more beautiful. Well, actually Rickey said Kris can’t do the big notes. Rickey said Kris may do them if he could. Anyways, you’re right though about the interview as a whole. Adam wasn’t being pushed at all, and Rich Rush (LA Times) does think Kris will win due to the tween vote, etc. Both Kris and Adam had critics who picked them as the winner.

I watched the entire piece and they do talk quite a bit (and positively) about Kris. And, to say that you don’t care whether he is a good singer or not just doesn’t seem fair, afterall, this IS a singing contest.

It bothers me that people who aren’t fans of Adam’s style of music can’t at least recognize why he is so popular. If he is getting so much attention..whether it be on the show itself or in the media…its because he IS so talented and unique. There is a reason for all of this Adam madness–it isn’t just to piss people off or diss another contestant. He’s popular because he’s popular.

Okay, randomly, I went to go buy some music on iTunes and contemplated getting another track of Matt’s or Megan’s and saw that the Top 2 recording of both Kris and Adam have gone up to $1.29 a track. Top tier prices now, huh?

First of all, I hope the sound system is working properly for all the Idols and the guest stars. There have been far too many mistakes this season which have ruined performances.

Secondly, I hope that both Adam and Kris are flawless. I realize politics and religion have entered into the finale. I just hope they don’t become the deciding factor.

After watching their press conference, I don’t think there’s a competition anymore. As they’ve said they feel both of them have won and both of them have arrived. I can feel their genuine admiration. It seems they will be happy for one another whoever gets the title.

That said, if Adam is happy to see Kris win, I will be also be happy. (votes will still be for adam though).

I’m sure they will put on a great finale. They won’t outsing one another but they will just present themselves as who they are as an artist.

I was watching Fox5 News in San Diego. Kendis said that Adam will perform Mad World with his own arrangement. I guess that means that he will do an acapella?…. Hope so.

I love how Rickey keeps defending Adam! He cant play favorites, but its pretty obvious that he likes Adam. But they all do. Ann Powers is my fav Adam writer ever!

The people around the table are all big fans of Adam since the beginning if you read their columns, no surprise there.

WHAT? I assure you they’re not all Adamtards. Ann Powers is a big supporter of Adam and has always been, but she actually has good reasons to root for Adam and she always presents them so articulately.
Adam B. Vary is NOT an Adamtard. He’s from EW and he actually praises Kris a lot during that interview.
Richard Rushfield from LA Times is very neutral. He picks Kris for the win for goodness’ sake.
Rickey Minor is no “Adam fan”, or at least not overtly so. He says that he doesn’t play favorite in this competition.

So it’s not a “reunion of Adam fans”. Its a pretty fair roundtable analysis of the season. And the people who think Adam has so much press just because the media likes to ignore Kris are seriously deluded. Adam just is popular because he’s talented, personable and has such colorful personality that makes for good material. Let’s face it, Kris just doesn’t have a fraction of that appeal. The press will write about whatever they want, and they’ll want someone who sells.

After this interview I understand why some in the media would love for Adam to win. Kris is cute and laid back, but Adam is an interviewer’s dream come true.

jt: I do not think the “big surprise” band is KiSS-KISS would pretty much open a grocery store if you paid them. If there is really a huge big surprise band it must be Bowie-although it is hard to believe that Bowie could be persuaded to appear on American Idol.

I don’t think the big surprise “band” is Bowie since Bowie is a guy. I do think that “Kiss” fits the AI definition of big surprise band. They definitely fit with the 70′s/80′s vibe of most of the rest of the guest list!

There is a rumor posted on IDF that Anoop might be singing with Jason Mraz and Megan together in the finale. Those rumor is that those three guys might be singing a song together. I think that this rumor may have originally come from someone on Twitter.

I don’t know how true it is, and it would be kind of random if Anoop is singing with those two, because his musical style is not really similar to Jason’s and it’s very different from Megan’s. But if this is how he will get more airtime in the finale, then I will take it.

MJ, I was watching my local news this morning (FOX 7 Austin) and they had a reporter in LA this morning and she said that the coronation song is called “No Boundaries” and was written by Kara. I capped it and can have video up soon-ish, but that is absolutely what they said. You can go ahead and add that to your spoiler list

I hope both Adam and Kris do an oputstanding job. It would be nice if the judges limited their pimp factor and gave honest critiques. I lean more towards Adam at this point.

I heard the rumor was that Anoop was dating Megan, but maybe it is just that they will be performing together with a special guest star.

I hate that DWTS final results show is tonight. I hope there will not be overtime on AI.
