Over 2 Dozen Idols Set to Attend the Grand Opening of the American Idol Experience

Yay I hope we can get to see this video. this makes me glad that all my favorites from last season made it to the top 5.

Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m hearing that the Top 5 of each new season of Idol will record videos for the attraction.

I wonder how many more seasons we’re talking here. The new season pretty much blows. Heh. But I guess as long as they remain on top in the ratings, they’d keep rolling the show.

I’m really curious to know, with so many Idols present, what they’re going to do for the opening other than appear in a motorcade… I mean, it’s closed to the public, but we know DC and Carrie are performing, and I assume others are too. I’d be shocked if they don’t showcase this thing on next week’s Idol.

Oh, about those videos the Top 5 made – I don’t know if these are the exact ones or there are other versions, but Cookie‘s and Archie‘s videos are already online.

Maybe, the press are there to experience the Experience themselves.

Jolene several of the other idols have videos similar that are used during the Experience. a while back we had someone post about going to it and they gave a recap sort of and some pics and stuff.

Hypertwink, I think that’s part of it for sure. Brian from Idol Chatter is going and from what it seems like, he gets to go thru the whole process.

I knew that list we saw last wk was going to have to expand b/c I heard over the weekend that the motorcade was going to be 24 cars long – the longest they’ve ever had. I’ll actually be at the park all day. Yay! My sister-in-law knows some of the tour guides for the idols and is trying to “make the magic happen” for me to meet some of them. :)

GMA just played a clip of DC’s LO video as part of a preview to tomorrow’s show. I LOL’ed when they called him the “beautiful David Cook” and a heartthrob during the clip. They said Sam Champion was flying down to Florida for the opening. Cross our fingers, sounds like they’ll show decent coverage!

This article makes it sound like just DC and Carrie are performing but who knows. Could be a 19M thing.

The interactive attraction officially opens to the public on February 14, but a series of invitation-only events on February 12 will bring together ‘AI’ finalists Jordin Sparks (pictured above, with Underwood), David Cook, David Archuleta, Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice and more. ‘Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest is also scheduled to appear. The ‘Idol’ stars will participate in a motorcade for Disney World visitors, with an invitation-only concert featuring Underwood and Cook to follow.

If that’s where people got that they were going to duet, I’m not seeing it. Sounds like they’ll both be performing, but there’s nothing indicating it will be together.
That phrasing does make it sound like it might only be the two of them, though. Hmm.

I doubt Taylor is performing because someone asked him at a M&G over the weekend what he would be doing at the opening and his reply was”I don’t have a clue.”

Also, according to this article, the Top 5, David Cook, David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado, Jason Castro and Brooke White, recorded videos that are about à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“the blending of two giant brands, Disney and Idol.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ 

I just went to the Disney site. They have the video up of David Cook and Syesha doing the “blending” promo. No Archie, Jason, or Brooke though. Maybe they’ll be alternating videos on subsequent days?

I just went to the Disney site. They have the video up of David Cook and Syesha doing the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“blendingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  promo. No Archie, Jason, or Brooke though.

The intro video is indeed Cook and Syesha, but there are 2 other Top 5 videos on that site that feature all 5 Idols. They also have Cook’s Disney commercial there, which was fun to see again.

Oh, and there’s a section with the PDF of the 100 songs available, but my computer can’t manage to download it. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

I love that Kimberley Locke will have to face Josh Gracin (after those awful things she said during Idol Rewind about his lack of talent) and Jason Castro (after saying to a reporter, on the record, which was subsequently published, that she thought he was dumb as wood). I hope she has a lovely time.

Kim Locke won’t give a rats behind who else is there. That lady is FIERCE. She can just hang with her buddies like Ruben if Joshy and Jason have such a problem with her.

Besides, I doubt Kim Locke is the only person who has ever listened to Jason Castro and thought he was dumber than a piece of wood. I’m kinda doubtful Jason is even conscious enough to remember who said it.

Haha, I’m just glad the other Kim (Caldwell) isn’t on the list… both she and DC been saying that they remain friends or whatever , but the breakup was so recent that I’m sure it would have been pretty awkward regardless of what they’re saying to nosy interviewers.

Jason knows who said it. He mentioned it in at least two tour interviews. It’s the only time where it really seemed like something somebody said got to him. He didn’t outrightly say Kim Locke’s name, but Michael Johns sure did. Hehe. Michael Johns said K. Locke could go jump in a lake.

They all have buddies there and it’s not a big deal anyway. Jason at least is far from the confrontational type and he’s got six of his S7 buddies to hang out with at the events.

brie200… Awe Michael Johns said that ..he is so sweet. I was thinking the same thing when Kimberly Locke said that. I love Jasons voice. I am happy for all of the S7 group..great bunch of kids!!

I agree with heart2 that that was great of Michael to say that. I have heard that Kimberly Locke is not necessarily the nicest person around. For me, she’s got nothing on anyone who is a great person, and I can brag that my 3 favorites (Ace, Phil, and Jason) are some of the nicest guys around, not to mention talented artists with great voices. And Jason is far from dumb, with a 1340 score on his SAT’s. I’m glad I don’t know when she had said that. I would not have been so nice to her in posting a comment, lol. I stand up for my guys just about the same way I would my own kids.

Well, I am happy to see Taylor has been invited! It just doesn’t seem right that Kelly won’t be there.

Oh, Sarah how wonderful you’ll be in the park and hopefully experience some magic yourself! I know you’ll keep us posted.

brie200, thank you for this information on Michael’s response. I just know Kimberly got a ton of mail regarding that comment. Now would be a good time to apologize to Jason for her dumb remark. The thing is, I believe she’s an awesome singer, but her remarks were a turn-off.

Carrie just did an interview with Seacrest. She said that aside from their own performances, she and Cook are also doing something together. I’m looking forward to seeing that. Someone get footage please!
