Contestants on Canadian Idol did that this year. I have to admit it added a whole different dimension to the contestant. I thought it showed them off in a very different light than if they were just singing.

As for combining SYTYCD and Idol for touring? No, just no.

Ricco Barrino – is that Fantasia’s brother? I remember he auditioned. I personally think that would be a little over the top but that’s just my opinion… Need to look beyond siblings for the next idol – unless you’re looking for the next Donny and Marie, Peaches and Herb, Captain and Tenille, Flack and hathaway… etc.

Isn’t it amazing that the one contestant who did play on the show, although not while auditioning, didn’t get mentioned by Nigel? Taylor got his harmonica in there! I know they’ve done this on other Idol shows in other countries, but I’m still not sold on the idea of people playing their instruments on this show. The focus is supposed to be the voice and for good or bad, I think that might get lost in the shuffle if people start feeling they also have to play an instrument.

MJ, The 24th for the Meet and Greet in Hollywood is confirmed…but I am unsure about if the auditions start the 24th or begin the 26th or 27th….Anyone live in Hollywood/LA and what to go stake out the Orpheum Theater?? LOL
