Nicki Minaj, who is likely to become an American Idol judge for Season 12, raps, controversially, that she is a republican and voting for Mitt Romney in the upcoming presidential race. The declaration goes down in a verse over Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music’s “Mercy,” from Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape.
But is she?
Gawker did a little fact checking and can’t find her registered to vote in either California or New York. What’s more–she moved to Queens from Trinidad and Tobago when she was five. There is no proof that she’s even a US Citizen. And ya gotta be a citizen to vote.
Pretty good evidence that Nick is prolly trolling…trolling…trolling.
