I see why she wants to discover someone with a very distinctive sound. She doesn't have it. Don't get me wrong, she's a nice singer, but her sound is a little light and not very distinctive at all. On performance, she's much more distinctive b/c of good looks and a bit for technique but not for tone. I feel for her b/c a distinctive sound is so much dependent on genetics. I hope, for Kara's sake, the comments next year aren't as transparently scripted as last years were. I like the fact that she watches the show, it gives her a different perspective than the judges who've been there from day one.
