More Dancing With the Stars Season 9 Pairings

News of Dancing with the Stars pairings has been slowly leaking to the press all week through various sources. The official list will be released on Monday August 24

So far, 10 pairs out of 16 have been revealed:

  • Debi Mazar – Maksim Chmerkovskiy
  • Donny Osmond – Kym Johnson
  • Ashley Hamilton – Edyta Sliwinska
  • Natalie Coughlin – Alec Mazo
  • Tom DeLay – Cheryl Burke
  • Mya – Dmitry Chaplin
  • Aaron Carter – Karina Smirnoff
  • Lacey Schwimmer – Mark Dacascos
  • Kelly Osbourne – Louis Van Amstel
  • Derek Hough – Joanna Krupa

Season 9 of Dancing with the Stars begins on ABC September 21.

    There’s one more pair at the bottom of the article that you don’t have listed.

    Singer Aaron Carter has been spotted by the paparazzi on multiple occasions with Karina Smirnoff, while former Ultimate Fighting Championship star Chuck Liddell has been spotted with painted toenails alongside his partner ‘” Anna Trebunskaya ‘” who last danced with Steve Guttenberg.

    I’m betting Chelsie is with the snowboarder dude. And the new female pro is with Michael Irvin. Although those could be reversed.

    Kym always seems to get the middle-aged awkward guys. Remember when she was paired with Jerry Springer?

    Chelsie is as said, likely with the snowboarding dude.

    Kym’s not complaining. Donnie Osmond is pretty much a free ride to the semifinals for her and a legitimate shot at the trophy. The Osmond fanbase? Marie outlasted far better dancers because of it and I expect Donnie to be at least a little better than his sis was.

    Poor Cheryl, but I expected them to give her the dud this time around. She’ll have a nice break this season.

    I am on the Mya/Dmitry ship as of now. But I always jump ship, so.

    Lacey and Derek probably shouldn’t be in the celeb column.

    I’m really mad that Lacey is paired with the Iron Chef guy. I was picking him as Most Likely to Dance Really Well. Guess I will have to get used to FFing him along with her or tune out completely.

    Plus Louis with Kellie Osbourne? So that means Mark Ballas has Melissa Joan Hart. I was SO hoping she would be with Louis. Sigh.

    Anna Demidova is like six-feet tall, so there’s no way she could dance with the 5-5 snowboarder. That guy is with Chelsie, for sure, and Anna must be with Michael Irvin.

    Crossing my fingers for Joanna Krupa to be another Brooke Burke in dance ability.

    Joanna Krupa might be a decent dancer, but personality wise watch out. She was on that summer show Superstars that Maks was on where a “celeb” was supposed to team up with an athlete. She was paired with T.O. and while T.O. is no picnic, she made people feel sorry for him. That was how nightmarish she was. To put it mildly, the woman is not so nice. So unless she turns on the charm, I can’t see her lasting long.

    Is she nightmarish? Well, good thing that she’s with Derek then. Derek can handle it, he’s a cool, funny guy who can stand up for himself. Still.. what a shame it would be if she turns out to be a great dancer but nightmarish. Turn on the charm Joanna, I want to like you <3

    I never heard of this Joanna Krup person until I watched Superstars. She is a nasty piece of work. She’s going to make Derek cry, cry cry.

    For some reason, I am not as excited as I was last year.

    That lineup of “stars” might have something to do with it.

    Pairing Kelly Osbourne with Louis Van Amstel is just plain mean! He is like the tiniest man alive! They should have paired her with a taller, bigger guy. No lifts for that pair. I’m not saying Kelly is fat…she is just NOT a petite girl. I sure as heck wouldn’t want to be paired with him either!!!

    Louis is short, but he’s far from the tiniest man alive. He’s been paired with Monique Coleman before and she’s not exactly a twig. She’s not overweight by any means, but it’s not like Louis can only be paired with twigs. I’m just glad he’s back, but I wish he’d gotten Melissa Joan Hart and Mark had Kelly Osborne.

    Maybe Louis got more jobs from SYTYCD 6 (same time as DWTS) so he asked to be paired with celeb that pretty much will go out earlier.

    So we had 6 celebs left:

    Chelsie – Vito

    Anna D – Michael

    Anna T – Chuck L

    Mark – Melissa Joan H (Again Mark had a chance to win if Melissa is decent dancer)

    Jonathan – Macy

    ??? – Kathy Ireland. (Tony will not be in this season. So Fabian or Nick or Corky)

    Though Joanna attitue suck big time in Superstars, but she did not look like afraid to work hard and very competitive. That drive will take you along way in DWTS. Compare to lots of celebs in past seasons who did not want to work and practice hard. (Just want the money and the publicity)

    And probably the Superstars and DWTS audiences are not that similar.
