    Haterz gonna hate!

  • Chris

Even bringing in Paula couldn’t offset the slide.

    Good news for The Voice.

As a fan of The Voice, I don’t know how they can keep the ratings when they show 6 performances in two full hours.  Let’s have more singing and less filler please.

I enjoy both shows. Re: DWTS ratings decline for the all-star show: I think they had a golden opportunity…wished they tried (though I know she’s not available…) to get Mel B, Maks best partner (though I love Kirstie too) or Laila Ali. In addition some other lovely dancers such as Kristie Yamawhatever-her-last-name-is, William Levy (had to throw him in there..), Hines Ward, Jennifer Gray…I mean, more who are at a similar ability level. I think Brisket is going to ruin the ratings if she lasts even another week. If she had a good personality as Kirstie does…fine. But she is sub-bland in all aspects of her being.

This is huge news, first time the battle rounds don’t induce a big drop in the week to week ratings for the Voice, apparently the tweaks on the format worked great.

I have two friends who usually love DWTS, but they aren’t watching this season for 2 reasons: they’ve already seen these celebrities dance so are bored and would prefer to see new contestants, and they both loathe Bristol (the reason why I’m boycotting the shoe this year). lol

The thing is that they’re not using the extra time for drama, but for instructive advices from the coaches. We can see how the singers “grow” in a song since the first rehearsal to the final performance. It’s maybe not two hours with performances but it’s still being two hours about singing. And maybe this is what has been keeping the demo.

But I agree they should show more performances, at least two more.

    Loathe is being kind.

I feel sorry for Bristol. People seem to really dislike/hate her on twitter i’ve seen comments were people just go off on her. Maybe i’m out of the loop but I haven’t heard of her doing anything to warrant the level of distain I’ve seen her get. All I really got on her is she had a child out of wedlock  young. I think this might be a case of the “sins” of the mother being passed down to the daughter. I know people dislike Palin b/c she’s seen as dumb and a pawn and probably on some of her views which I don’t really know.

I mean it can’t be b/c she’s not the greatest dancer or truly a “celebrity” b/c i’ve seen a couple of the performers and they’re not great and have been beloved. And she’s not the first ever hey that’s not really a celebrity contestant. Also I want to point out unfair double standards I feel women get judged harsher than the guys and have more difficult requirements than the men as well.

Anyway I don’t think any one contestant can significantly DECREASE ratings b/c most people would simply ignore or just complain about that contestant not forgo all others.  I believe it’s the entire cast that would make ratings drop not one individual b/c if you had excellent people except for one person people are still gonna watch. But I do believe one contestant can INCREASE ratings significantly say the president was gonna go on dancing w/ the stars the curiosity factor etc would draw people in. I think whats going on is people are just bored w/ the show/cast now or something better came along.

I am liking the Voice this season.

I personally don’t have a beef with Bristol for having a child out of wedlock. That said, when you champion abstinence when you clearly aren’t… well, it does invite the hypocrite label.  Also, when you put yourself on TV then you have to take the heat.  If she really wants to lead a normal, quiet life with her child, she could.

  • Chris

There have been people on the show that caused fans not to watch: Chaz or Kate Gosslin. The difference is they usually disappeared after a few weeks. Bristol won’t go away, and. The longer she stays.

I think that people will automatically take issue, if a people see themselves as important, celebrities, or famous, even though they haven’t done anything, especially anything of substance, to deserve that title.  People have a similar issue with Paris Hilton and the Kardashians.

Monday Night Football (Denver/San Diego) was a terrific game…especially in the second half over on espn. Greatest comeback by a team on Monday night ever……thanks Peyton!!

I don’t know how anyone who has several failed TV shows  (poor ratings) and was fired from her last network gig because it didn’t bring in expected numbers to attract more viewers. Paula just isn’t someone audiences are craving to see anymore.
