Monday Ratings: Dancing With The Stars Up, The Voice Down

The Voice is down 6/1oths from last week, but it aired against the 7th game of the NLCS baseball playoffs. The rating stayed about 4.0, which is still pretty damn good.  I would say The Voice fixed their Battle Rounds problem. The last Battle Round airs tonight.

Dancing with the Stars beat The Voice in viewers and was up 3/10ths from last week.

I won’t guarantee that the Voice has fixed its battle rounds problem until Round 3 (“Battle rounds redux: This time the judges can’t fix each other’s mistakes”) starts airing.

I understand next week it´s not exactly battle rounds. It´s the knockout rounds.
They don´t sing in duets, each team member sings a solo and then the coach chooses 5 from 8 contestants to go into the live rounds.
    Should be interesting….

I think that the knock out round should fare better, because that round is a lot similar to what people are used to seeing, and it gives the viewers a better chance to get to know the contestants.

The ratings are slightly skewed for The Voice, since it always sees a solid increase every half hour that it airs. Missing the big gain it usually sees between 9 and 10 makes the drop seem bigger than it really is.
