Last week we had three milestones altogher. This week, we have three milestones just on AC – plus one on each of Country, Pop, HAC and CAC.
Let’s start with AC. Kelly Clarkson’s “People Like Us” (second new single from her Greatest Hits album) vaulted straight into top 40 on the AC chart. The songs is also top 15 on HAC and top 40 on Pop. Oly Murs’ “TroubleMaker” also makes inroads on AC going top 30. The song had previously hit top 10 on Pop and is currently top 15 on HAC.
Finally, last year’s American Idol winner, Phillip Phillips, goes goes goes top 20 with “Gone Gone Gone”. This week, the song also entered the top 5 on HAC and was previously top 1 on AAA (currently 2nd). The song goes for ads on Pop this week.
Carrie Underwood is representing Idol on the Country chart. She achieves top 15 with “See You Again” which is the fourth single from her fourth album.
Emblem3 (XF US – 2nd season, fourth) have their very first top 40 song on top 40. Their debut single is called “Chloe (You’re the One I Want)”. They would also like Chloe to know that they are not a boy-band. Simon might like Chloe to think otherwise.
Our final milestone also comes from a fourth place finisher – this time from Season 7 of Idol. Jason Castro’s latest single “Rise to You” rises into the top 50 on CAC.
Also of note, Jessica’s single “Tonight” featuring Ne-Yo has been re-mixed including Spanish and has jumped onto the Spanish chart in the top 50.
