Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Mar 16-22

A lot of milestones this Monday Morning: four from Idol, one from X-Factor, one from The Voice and one from Survivor.

Idol’s Kelly Clarkson enters the top 5 on AC with her latest single. “Heartbeat Song” is the debut single from her 7th album and it is top 5 on AC, top 10 on HAC and top 20 on Pop.

Also from Idol is Carrie Underwood. This Country mainstay won the 4th season of Idol and currently has her “Greatest Hits” album on offer. “Little Toy Guns” is her second new single from that album and it just hit top 20 on Country.

Colton Dixon may have not won Idol, but he’s built a career on the Christian charts. The CAC charts sometimes makes its own singles and I’m not entirely sure why his song periodically race up the charts. Are they from some event or is his label working a new single. Perhaps his fans can chime in. In any event, “Through It All” is from Colton’s second album “Anchor” and it zoomed from 81st to top 40 this week.

Finally, we have an auditioner from Idol, Tori Kelly. Her “Nobody Love” went top 20 on Pop this week. The song will go for adds on HAC next week.

Over on the X-Factor, we have Fifth Harmony from the US edition. Their “Worth It” f. Kid Ink went top 40 on Rhythmic this week. It is currently also in the top 40 on Pop.

The Voice is represented by Melanie Martinez. She was on Team Adam way back in Season 3. Her “Dollhouse” cracked the top 50 on HAC this week.

And to end our report, we have Survivor in the hosue. Chase Rice’s “Gonna Wanna Tonight” entered the top 40 on Country.
