Monday Morning Mediabase Update: July 18-24

There are no milestones to report this week – I can’t remember when that last happened. Huh. Can I blame both Hillary and Trump? Have radio programmers passed out due to election fatigue? Has this been the longest election season ever or is it just me? Can y’all just vote next week? Battle lines seem set.

To illustrate the stagnant dog days of summer are surely here, Drake tops the BB200 for another week. I feel like I’m in “Ground Hog Day”. This is the 11th week that “Views” has topped the BB200. I bet he tops the Hot 100 tomorrow too. Drake, Drake. Drake. He’s the new Marsha. We live in a streaming world. A solo male hasn’t topped the BB200 for this long since Billy Ray Cyrus back in 1992. Back in 1992, Hillary’s husband was elected President and Trump appeared in “Home Alone 2”.
