Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Feb 4-10

This week we get three Monday Morning Mediabase Milestones from Idol and a further two from X-Factor UK. And the Voice stands alone.

Bookending the Idol’s are our very first American Idol Winner and our last. Kelly Clarkson wracks up two milestons this week to go along with her nifty Grammy from last night. Her anchoring single from her Greatest Hits album (“Catch My Breath”) went top 5 on HAC and top 15 on Pop. The song is now top 5 in one format, top 10 in two and top 15 in three. Sadly, “Stronger” finally went recurrent after more than a year on the charts (it debuted on Jan 8th last year).

Meanwhile, Phil Phillip’s second single is exploding out of the blocks. It goes for adds this week, but still managed to achieve top 30 on that tough to crack chart, AAA. The song isn’t even being sent for adds with HAC, yet, and it also debuted this week on that chart in the top 50. He’s currently got two singles on AAA and HAC (“Home” is still in the top 10 in both formats) and he continues to top the AC chart for the third week. “Home” is still charting on 4 different charts.

The British [X-Factor] invansion of the US Pop charts continues with 4 songs from that franchise currently in the top 50 on CHR. Olly Murs’ “Troublemaker” climbed into the top 40 on HAC while it sits poised to enter the top 20 on Pop. Cher Lloyd, 4th on the 7th season of UKXF debuts her third single on the Pop chart,”With Ur Love”, in the top 50.
