Note: Numbers indicate position on the chart while numbers in brackets indicate the position on the chart the previous week. ‘^’ indicates that the song has a bullet in that format.

Note: This week, we are using the Rolling Charts since the Published charts have not been updated since August 23rd. I decided to switch half-way through and I think I caught all the updates. I apologize in advance if I did not.

Thanks :) I noticed the published ones were still behind a day.

  • primeminister

Congrats to Jordin for another Top 10 pop hit!

I like the rolling charts better anyway, since they give more of a sense of recent movement. YMMV.

It’s been fun watching David Cook and Gavin Rossdale do the two-step on HotAC. DC is hanging on to #6 again, so he’s leading the dance for the time being, but GR keeps trying to make him dance backward. :)

Me love charts. Another thing David Cook has done to me.

Archie’s really moving up on Hot 40! Big weekly “moves.”

    Good for Jordan!

Love it that the idols are doing so well on the charts. I don’t know why, but every time I see Bucky’s name listed, I get a lil smile on my face. He’s really doing this thing.

  • hollygo9

Personally, I have yet to hear Archie on the radio. I’m not in a major market either.
I do hear David Cook every so often which makes his the second coronation song that actually made it onto rural radio (A Moment Like This was the other one)
    I hope that’s a good omen.

  • IGetCranked

I hear Cook all the time. I haven’t heard Archie yet either. I can’t wait!

I am amazed at Bucky’s success. I really didn’t think he would make it after idol. I really liked him but I couldn’t understand him a lot of the times and you know the track record for AI (at that time) for anyone other than the winner.

  • idolbeat

    Yay KLC! Keep climbing girl!

  • spritely

Ha! I just noticed something cute. On Top 40, David Cook, Daughtry, and David Archuleta are all grouped together, at numbers 29, 30, and 31. The Three D’s are keeping each other company for now. :)

  • AInoob

Isn’t this Jordin’s third top 10 from her debut CD?! WTG, Jordin!

  • abbysee

I heard Cookie today for the first time in a clothing store buying school uniforms. That was the highlight as the day as clothing shopping for school is not on my short list of things to do on a lovely summer day.

I didn’t care at all for Jordin during Idol, but I do have to say she really impresses me as a good role model and she has great songs for Top 40. She started slow but is really gaining speed.

I loved Bucky on Idol but didn’t think he had a chance to make it, unless it was endorsing hair products. He also has made smart moves, and I saw him performing last winter at a small venue here and I thought his vocals and stage presence had improved so much. He is just a likeable guy up on stage and I am so happy for him.

I have been listening to Top 40 in the car the last few days and hear TOML all the time but not Crush. But I am sure that will change in the coming weeks. I think both Davids will do well.

I think it is interesting that in the concert review posted in another thread, once again they thought Michael had the stuff to make it big, but not Brooke and Jason. I see both Brooke and Jason as having unique voices and styles and good sized fan bases.

I have to agree with you, Dante. I think MJ is hawt and a fabulous singer. I just don’t see any originality from him…. yet.

I am very much looking forward to what both Jason and Brooke have to offer.

  • spritely

I agree with that take on MJ, too–hawt, good (thought I wouldn’t say great) voice, but no originality yet. Honestly, though, I don’t always have to have originality if a singer sings a sort of music I love and does it really well. If MJ stuck to bluesy stuff, he’d be fine with me just as he is. If I want originality, I’ll put on my Cookie CD. :D

Wait. What does this comment have to do with charts. Lemme think. Okay, I know. If MJ sticks to what he does best, he’ll climb the charts some day. :)

I’ve not heard Crush on my station but I don’t listen to Top 40 or Rado Disney. I don’t know that it’s an Adult Contemporary type of song but I’m sure they will pick it up.. My station hasn’t yet though. I hear TOML 3 or 4 times a day.
