I also join in this belief. It was quite obvious that Deepak Chopra was upset about Michael’s death. Angry, too.

Larry said he would have Usher and Liza back on for another show. I believe Larry was trying to provide a balance and his guests were not going for it.

The media is having a field day with this and some Senator or Governor, somewhere is relieved.

I agree with you. Some blogs are deleting posts that bring up the unsavory things of MJ. Very strange.

Second Autopsy for Michael Jackson

A source close to the family of Michael Jackson tells TMZ the family has requested a second autopsy — and it is currently underway somewhere in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Coroner conducted an autopsy on Friday and while he said there was “no indication of foul play,” the official cause of death could not be determined.

I understand your point Niall but since CNN spent all the time before and after Larry King talking about all of Michael’s problems including Deepak telling his story about Michael and his concerns and his anger at the celebrity doctors parasites there is also a time to talk about the good things since Larry was a friend of MJ and had gathered people close to MJ including Liza Minelli and Miko Brando, both of whom were in near tears the whole hour. It was not like CNN wasn’t giving or will be giving Deepak lots of coverage for his concerns all night long. They were the first to have Mr. Oxman, former MJ lawyer and family friend, talking about Michael’s abuse of prescription drugs.

I’m not surprised Usher got upset. He’s also the guy who rightfully criticized Chris Brown and then backed off of it and joined the pack of enablers. Stars don’t like to tell the truth about each other. It’s not disrespectful to talk about the aspects of MJs life that weren’t savory. It is part of him and his story. Usher got really upset with Deepak Chopra on Larry King last night. I understand where Usher was coming from, Deepak already had elaborated previously on CNN, on the Campbell Brown show, that he had been concerned about Michael, Michael had asked him for a prescription for a narcotic and Deepak was shocked.

Deepak realized that Michael was surrounded by doctors that were feeding him this stuff – in other words nothing has changed since Elvis Presley died and brought it up again on Larry King when all the rest of the people were just trying to remember Michael for the positive things.

But I understand that Deepak is upset and that this was a tragedy that should have been avoided. On the other hand Michael Jackson was a 50 year old man who made his own choices, he was otherwise very smart and I think he was pushing his physical limits on this comeback. But he was raised on “the show must go on” credo. Especially if he thought this was his last chance to redeem himself and pull himself out of debt.

I have to wonder why Michael Jackson had a cardiologist living with him for the last 2 months? Any doctor can prescribe the drugs he needs. Why a cardiologist? Was something else going on?

It also sounds like this doctor was a quack and yet how did he get to be a cardiologist. The 911 call suggests that the doctor was administering CPR to MJ on top of his bed. Even I know you don’t do CPR on a soft surface. The doctor did also administer some additional shot that was supposed to counter act the Demerol, this was noted by the firefighters/paramedics. Essentially Jackson was dead then but the paramedics are saying the doctor refused to allow them to pronounce him dead and insisted they continue CPR. When Mr. Cardiologist should have known that without oxygen to the brain for that period of time, he would have been a vegetable if they were able to resuscitate him. Very sad.

And I do agree with Deepak. Why aren’t the authorities making more examples of these celebrity doctors who are causing, feeding and enabling dangerous addictions? But then it isn’t just celebrity doctors, there is a prescription medication problem that is more widespread.

The one interesting thing that I heard on CNN was that the royalties on Michael’s music go to the kids already? Hopefully he set something up already that is beyond challenge. Aye there’s the rub.

I find the need to go out and buy MJ music odd. If you were a true fan don’t you already have everything that Michael ever did? And for example when Michael Hutchence died, I couldn’t listen to INXS music for 2 years. Perhaps because it was a death of the band as well as his death. Just too painful for me. However apparently MJ was bringing in 50 – 70 million dollars a year on his royalties alone before he died.

I mentioned this in another thread, but with all the speculation going on regarding the kids I would not be surprised if the ultimate guardians end up being Janet and Jermaine Dupri. She’s more financially stable than others in her family, is relatively normal (as normal as you can be after growing up in that family) and rumors have always been that she and Jermaine are already married. I can’t see his parents being able to care for young children given their age. I also shudder at the thought of Joe Jackson having influence over another generation. God forbid should they have any musical talent, he’ll be exploiting them so fast our heads will spin.

What I feel saddest about is knowing that the MJ I admired and loved has actually been dead for years and years. I just kind of prefer not to think too much about the man walking around in his body for the last 15 years or soÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

I said last night that I felt like a cold-hearted bitch because I felt we lost him a long time ago. Maybe now he’s finally free. His life was tragic, but that doesn’t take away from his genius. I have to say I was more of a Prince girl, though.
