Michael Castro’s Mysterious Message Explained

Ugh! Right now I’m supremely annoyed at the idea of any kind of “twist”. I’m not enjoying the changes they’ve made so far and I find myself longing for some consistency from the show.

It’s gonna be beyond annoying if the producers end up constantly changing the rules of the game just to suit their goals.

Huh? I hope they don’t keep throwing people into the mix. I barely have a handle on the 13 we have now. We’ve barely seen them.

Idol’s really trying to keep us on our toes this year!

I hope they stop with the twists. It’s like freakin’ Survivor now. It works on Survivor because the whole show is about that, but not on American Idol, please!

I hope he’s not coming back for a Top 14… that would be too much to handle. Besides, didn’t Simon (or someone) say they wouldn’t consider a Top 14 for that reason?

True. I hope they don’t do that double-voting thing someone mentioned earlier where they could put 2 people together for voting (like Danny Jasmine, Megan Adam, etc.). It would solve one problem but create a lot of others.

I think it’s kind of presumption that MCas wasn’t supposed to mention this, since nobody knows what is going on. If he’s going back to sit in the audience or do something equally not important, why would Idol or anyone care? I doubt the twist is that he’s suddenly back in the competition. Or he would also be shutting down his myspace and taking down music and etc.

It’s been there since at least March 1.

Well maybe if it was there since March 1st the original plan was to appear in the audience and support Jason.

Apparently Michael didn’t post that message on that website. Go check out his MySpace where he clears up the confusion.

The Planet Kidz website has a “Message from Michael Castro” addressing why i cancelled my last 2 shows with them. I did not write that message nor was I aware it existed until just now.

It says I had to cancel the shows because the producers called me back onto American Idol. This is not true. Obviously there must have been some SERIOUS confusion as to why I had to cancel the shows. Anyways I didnt write that message and it’s not true.

I will not be appearing back on Idol.

If they are bringing a contestant back (and I don’t think they are), I’d be REALLY shocked if they chose Michael Castro, who seems like he’d be an unpredictable factor due to his brother’s fanbase, and not someone like Leneshe.

Unless Castro Deux is parachuting in alongside Osmond Dude and Bikini Girl to take the Idol stage at gunpoint, I doubt this has anything to do with returning as contestants.

The show’s already spent more screen time on cut people and less on supposedly viable finalists then ever in its history. This time last year, as people posted on other threads, all the top contestants had three full performances, including a host of memorable ones, and a bunch of big iTunes sellers.

If they waste any more time on the people they’ve already cut, they’d be kinda admitting they’ve pretty much failed to present an effective season of finalists. Which may be true. IMHO.

He probably canceled the appearances to be in the audience for his brother’s appearance on Wednesday, and somehow that got translated into HE was appearing on the show again.

Enough is enough, already. TPTB better not do anything more to screw up this season.

She may not technically “run” the street team, but she does seem to be the point person for info, at least.

I think it’s generally a mistake for family members to be involved in fan stuff or even career decisions. I hope Jason is getting good advice from outside parties.

Fact: Betsy originally spread the info about Jason’s AI appearance and iTunes single to the fans. Fans then began getting the word out.
Fact: She then told the ST and fans NOT to refer to it as a single, rather just a “song.” Fans and the ST adjusted accordingly.
Fact: She told the ST and fans to stop promoting the appearance. They did, for the most part. Those who didn’t listen to her were accused of not taking her, BETSY, seriously.

Betsy is in charge of everything the street team does and they don’t dare do anything without her say so. There are several threads at his fansites that bear that out.

Humans make mistakes. Info was released too soon. Things happen. It’s still not a fact that she runs the street team. As a member of the street team, as of yesterday, that was not a fact.

I just realized that I worded that last sentence oddly. What I meant was she does not run the street team. No change in that fact as of last check yesterday.

That makes the most sense, Mj. If the producers were going to bring anyone back it would have been for the wildcard show.

I dont think info was released too soon, you could see from the show he was supposed to be on that they did have time contraints and changed it up on Jason, Jorge wasnt even able to sing out his whole song. They do last minute things like this all the time with live shows.

I don’t really recall reading anything that actually says Jason’s mom runs his career. I tend to believe gabam because he/she is on the street team and seems to know who is in charge of the street team. It appears to me that Jason is somewhat in charge and, I definitely think it is Jason’s choice as to who he wants running his career.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get a contract like Archie and Cook, so he has to figure this out on his own. If he trusts his family so be it. I don’t think he has a fortune to spend right now on management. He does seem to be heading in the right direction.

I also feel it is hard to really determine what is going on behind the scenes, because we haven’t heard much. It is very easy to be the critic, but not really fair when we are just going by hearsay. Most of the stuff I read is pure speculation.
