The incredible Melinda Doolittle joined the Boston Pops and the Boston Pops Gospel choir on Saturday (June 12) to sing “Rock of Ages” and “I Go to The Mountain.” It was all part of the Boston Pops Gospel Night at Symphony Hall in Boston.

    Love this performance, love her. She is “old school” in the best possible way. The most pissed I’ve ever been at Idol was the day she got voted off. I agree with those who think she has the best voice of any Idol ever. I really can’t think of anyone her age or younger that is comparable.

    Melinda kick’s butt! One of the very best of Idol. It’s a damn shame someone with such a voice is ignored by the mainstream. The music buying youth of today don’t know what singing is. I’m looking at you Bieber, Kesha and most of the “guests” on Idol results this year.
