Melinda Doolittle performed at last night’s (Dec. 3) tree lighting ceremony in downtown Boston.

Luckily, the weather cooperated–it was unseasonably mild here in Beantown yesterday–allowing Melinda to deliver an awesome performance of “It’s Your Love” from her retro-cool album, Coming Back to You and “O Holy Night.”

Watch the performance after the jump. Notice the DJ introducing Melinda calls her “Melissa Doolittle” Seriously?

Can’t listen now–at work. But were is the tree? It’s a big space–is it government ctr plaza? (displaced Bostonian here)

Huckleberryfriend–such a cute name. I wish I had vision like that.

Melinda should do a Christmas album. Wow!

Hear, hear. She did host and perform on a Christmas special at her alma mater, Belmont University, in ’07,I believe. They may show it on public TV. Look out for it. And if you are in Lake Placid on Dec. 29, you can catch her and fellow season 6-er and my favorite guy Idol, Phil Stacey, at a Scott Hamilton skating event!:-D. It would be after Christmas, though, so I don’t know that they will sing holiday classics.

Not a fan of the arrangement on “O Holy Night” but I did like her song from the album.

The intro FAIL with her name was shameful.

It seems like she just keeps getting better all the time. I agree that a Christmas album from her would be great, I’m sure I would love it.
