Matt McAndrew may have lost the Voice 7 crown, and a guaranteed record contract, to Team Blake member, Craig Wayne Boyd, but fear not fans! Matt tweeted yesterday that he was headed to New York City.

According to an interview posted on NJ.com, Matt will be taking meetings in the city, hoping to land a record deal!
No wonder the singer was so positive in a note he tweeted Wednesday, thanking his fans:
A message to all the #McFANdrews out there. I love you guys more than you probably know. I understand some of you might be upset but please don’t think you let me down. We made it to number one on iTunes!! I got to experience all the wonderful things this show has to offer and it’s because of your support and hard word this season. I’ll miss performing for you guys every week on the show, but I think we should all be excited about what’s to come! I’ve never been hapier, my dreams are coming true, and it’s all thanks to you. Don’t be strangers!
Matt had changed his mind about auditioning for The Voice 4 times, he told the NJ.com reporter, worried about how he would be portrayed.
“It was quite obviously such an amazingly positive experience for me,” he said. “In an alternate universe, it could have been the worst thing that ever happened to me. If it was bad, it was going to be bad in a big way. If it was good, it was going to be good in a big way.”
After business in New York City, Matt is headed back to Philadelphia for the holidays, and on Jan. 23, he’ll play a sold out show at World Cafe Live.
