Mario Lopez Stepped on Khloe Kardashian’s Lines in X Factor Chaos

Our “friends” at TMZ report that there was much confusion between Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez on the X Factor stage. Reportedly, Mario was reading his lines AND some of Khloe’s. Not that I’m complaining.

Mario Lopez couldn’t get enough of that teleprompter on “X Factor” this week, because he was reading Khloe Kardashian‘s lines and screwing her up in the process … but sources tell us it wasn’t his fault.

Sources connected with the show tell us Khloe got “really upset” because Mario jacked her lines several times, reading his lines and then reading some of hers … and screwing up her timing in the process.

Khloe forced the issue with producers after Thursday’s show, wondering aloud if he was doing it on purpose.  After a short discussion, it became clear to Khloe that Mario was on the up and up — there were glitches in the production that confused everyone and things got a little out of control during the live broadcast.

Now here’s what’s really interesting.  Khloe has heard what we’ve been saying — that producers were insane to make her read a teleprompter, because it robs her of her personality.  Fact is … it’s hard for a novice to read a prompter.

We’re told Khloe is open to leaving the hosting duties to Mario, and taking on the personality-driven interviews without a teleprompter.

Sounds like a good idea to us.

Sounds like a good idea to me too. She’s not a good host. Although, I’m not sure she’ll be much better as an interviewer, either.

    Khloe sucks harder at interviewing than at hosting IMO.  Have you noticed how she pulls the mike away from a contestant while they are still mid-way answering her question??  Highly entertaining, makes me ROFL at her it’s-all-about-me-ness, but doesn’t help me connect with the contestant.

    At least as a host she has some personality.  But don’t make her read a teleprompter.  Ever again.  Even if she can master it with practice, what’s the point?  She’ll never be as smooth as Mario or Seacrest.  She shines more at being the viewer surrogate and asking the awkward questions we wish we could.

    Khloe has no talent as a host or as an interviewer. She is awful. Ridiculous that Simon hired her just because she was another talentless Kardashian.  It just shows his poor judgment.

    Why FOX renewed this mess of a show for a third season is a mystery to me. Not only are the ratings far below expectations, but they didn’t even pick up with the live shows and kept falling instead. FOX’s other programs must be in bad shape if they think XF is worth continuing investing in it.

    I think the talent is more interesting than some of what makes the final 12 on Idol.

    Watching Khloe host is painful. Painful I tell ya. And forget interviewing. Am I the only one who noticed her barely finish one interview without turning her attention to the next person and completely ignoring the previous interviewee *who was still answering her question*? And I’m sure I saw her push one interviewee out of the way when another showed up. Mario needs to host this show himself or it’s going to die a slow death…….again.

    Lol, MJ, couldn’t agree more.  Still say she is Sadie from Awkward.  Her interviews would be, “ok, now let’s talk about me…”

    I think it too, but the show, so far, isn’t helping these talents to shine. Wednesday was a hot mess for almost everyone, even the Sonenplant wasn’t good. Nobody stood out Thusrday too. Diamond was the best and not too good. They all seem very different from what we saw previously during auditions, bootcamp and judge’s house. Except for Paige, who still a bad singer as always.

    Well, I see your side on that note, but I don’t think that either show has more talented or interesting contestants, as they provide more of a preference of what their target demo likes.

    well none of the US singing competition shows have managed to find 2 hosts with any chemistry. So they’d be better off just using 1. It’s worked just fine for Idol for the past 10 years.

    It’s too bad Mario couldn’t step on Khloe’s mouth to shut her up.

    Mario has hosted beauty contests and ABDC and was a runner-up on Dancing With the Stars. He has enough star quality to host the show alone. 

    I still don’t get Khloe (sorry, Kardashian fans). If they wanted a reality star with an attitude to co-host, NeNe Leakes of Real Housewives of Atlanta was available.

    Oh, wait! NeNe’s not available? Darn it! (sarcasm) I guess we’re stuck with Mrs. Odom then.

    Mario was talking really fast at the end of the show last week and I was like Khloe probably forgot to speak or something. lols  PLEASE SIMON get rid of Khloe, she is terrible!!!!

    Ant and Dec were working together long before Popidol, they used to be in a kids show together when they were about 12/13 called Byker Grove….I remember watching it, always thought Dec was cute. They also sang together for a while as PJ and Duncan, their characters from the show, made a couple of albums and even had a no1 song in Germany.
