Has this one been written off as a “buzz single” yet?

I said on the other thread that Maria should thank Idol, famous for resurrecting judge’s careers, so poor this song is (the video is even worse). But now I think that even Idol can make this song be a big hit.

ETA: We are tamed now to accept that every hit song must have a rapper, but can humanity accept 2 without do anything?

    Too much rap.

This is more like Eminem featuring a girl like Rhianna just for the chorus.

Mariah sounds great but with the song and video, she is the opening act(chorus) and not the main event(rapping)!

She’s got TWO rappers?  Why Mariah?  You don’t need that….must be super desperate for a hit.

I wish the chorus had a stronger hook but it’s a positive message against Haters.  I can see lots of wannabes using this to upload covers on youtube.  I can’t remember rap being used to such a large degree in any of her bigger mainstream singles — just for the remix version — so maybe she’s trying something new.  Not sure I like her reduced to just the chorus and featured background (both in song and video).  I think it’s stronger than the singles from her last 2009 album.

Pathetic.  Whatever happened to the Mariah who wowed us with “Vision Of Love”?

This song and video shows that Mariah is very comfortable playing a supporting role to other people’s performances.
