Boo Hoo. Rumors have been swirling that pop star, and former American Idol judge, Mariah Carey and her husband, America’s Got Talent host, Nick Cannon have split. Now, the Insider is confirming those rumors.
TMZ noted a variety of reasons for the couple’s discord–from Nick’s oversharing about past relationships with Kim Kardashian and Nicole Scherzinger, to taking too many gigs that kept him away from the family. Ho Hum. According to the gossip mag, Nick and Mariah have been living apart since May.
Now, the Insider has a statement from Nick that the couple have indeed, been separated.
Chris Spencer the co-creator and executive producer of BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” [one of Nick’s many gigs] spoke to Nick on Thursday. Chris said, “He said ‘yes, [they’r e] going through a rough patch. There’s nothing to do with infidelity.’ He didn’t confirm that it was over, but he did say that they’ve been living separately for a few months now.”
Reports have the couple’s lawyers already negotiating custody issues surrounding their twins and financial matters for a divorce settlement. Reportedly, Mariah is worth 510 million while Nick is worth a mere 20 mil.
Nick emphasizes that his main focus right now are their kids. Twins Moroccan and Monroe are 3 years old.
