Ouch. The second  hour-long episode of Paula Abdul’s new show “Live to Dance”, suffered a significant ratings decrease last night.

For its second outing, the CBS reality competition delivered 7.8 million viewers and a 1.8 preliminary adults 18-49 rating Wednesday night. That’s down 25% from Tuesday’s premiere and ranked the show third in the advertiser-coveted adult demo at 8 p.m.

The People’s Choice Awards didn’t fare well either, compared to last year.

That lead-in didn’t help CBS’ annual telecast of the People’s Choice Awards (9.5 million, 2.7), which fell 21% from last year as Twilight eclipsed competitors (full winners list and the most awkward moments here). This is the second lowest-rated People’s Choice yet.Overall, ABC and NBC tied to win the night.

That does not bode well for Paula. There could be a blood bath By the time Live to Dance airs against the Idol premiere on Jan. 19.

Not including American Idol but do alot of these shows have a much lower results show rating? just curious.

Those are horrible results for a second night and it doesn’t bode well for the show at all. Those kind of ratings will get you cancelled on CBS.

In a way, it wasn’t a true Results Night because we didn’t find out who that final semi-finalist is. I really hadn’t felt Paula had a chance against Idol. We’ll see what happens next week.

Even though it’s not my thing, I hope ratings pick up. I would like to see this venture succeed for Paula …

Doesn’t surprise me at all. I like Paula, but this show blows. I forced myself to watch the first night but just couldn’t do it to myself again the following night. It’s excruciatingly horrible.

What is the schedule for it anyways? If it’s like the UK version then there aren’t that many episodes left if they’ve already got the 18 semi-finalists. There’s only 3 semifinal shows (6 perform and 2 move on) and the finals. It will only overlap Idol auditions won’t it?

Not that Wiki is the ultimate authority by it’s saying who made it. The OS still has an empty spot.

If only they had more quality dancers with personalities. And why on earth put older act through SF just to fill the quota or as canon fodder.

But on the other hand AGT also had the same formula. Lots of bad and mediocre talents but the rating is good and hang on for years.
