Do your dance, do your dance, do your dance quick, mama c’mon baby tell me what’s the word?
Little Mix released music video for 2014 Sport Relief single, “Word Up!“. The song was originally released by American soul-influenced funk group Cameo in 1986.
The video features several British celebrities. I recognized BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show DJ Nick Grimshaw on a rowing machine at 1:35, Sporty Spice Melanie C at 2:43 and former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips at 2:52. Other celebs: Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton teaches the spin class at 0:48, Olympic gymnast Louis Smith shows off his backflips at 3:10 and Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie Spence wraps up the video at 3:25 with a split.

Sport Relief is a biannual charity event in conjunction with Comedy Relief and the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people both at home in the UK and across the world.
One Direction released “One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)” last year to help Comic Relief 2013. Leona Lewis released “Better in Time”/”Footprints in the Sand” for Sport Relief 2008 and JLS released “Proud” to support Sport Relief 2012.
Little Mix’s “Word Up!” is available for pre-order on iTunes. Release date: March 16!
