Whoo hoo! Could I be any more excited? I’ll be attending the Right 2 Rock 2012 Gala  tonight to celebrate the Little Kids Rock’s 10th Anniversary.

Steven Van Zandt whom you may know as the guitar player from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band is being honored with the “Big Man of the Year” award  But he’s done a lot of other stuff–including acting (The Sopranos) and a solo music career. He was a special guest mentor on American Idol last season.

The concert will feature Idols, Kris Allen, Michael Johns plus Darlene Love, Dion, Southside Johnny, Tom Morello, ELVIS FREAKING COSTELLO. AND PERHAPS A SPECIAL GUEST!  Plus more. Oh. Uncle Jimmy Iovine will be there too!

The artists will each perform one of Little Stevie’s tunes. Kris Allen will be singing “This is the Time of Your Life.”

The gala will benefit Little Kids Rock, which is an organization that funds music education in disadvantaged public schools.  For more info check them out at LittleKidsRock.org
