Listen to Clips from Kelly Clarkson’s New Album (The Album Has Leaked! And I Like it…)

Before I go through all of that, do we know if Taylor’s is there? That’s the one I want to hear the song snippets from.

I’ve listened to that clip of “Already Gone” five times already. Awesome song!

I like Already Gone. Sounds like a lost track from My December. I kinda like Ready too.

It seems…her album is already released in Norway?

Maybe I’ve listened to that demo too many times but Kelly’s version of Hook Up actually sounds bland compared to Katy’s.

Whyyouwanna… is def my favorite right now.

Ooh, “Already Gone” sounds awesome! I’m definitely excited, if only for that song, haha. And it wasn’t that bad to change stores, for anyone concerned. iTunes automatically does it when you click “Change Store”, but I’m not sure how to change back now, haha.

ETA: Taylor’s CD is not on there, nope.

I loved the clips. I am not going back to listen again however, because it took me eons how to figure out getting back to the American ITunes store. LOL

…and “If No One Will Listen” sounds like classic Kelly.

Yeah.. Already Gone is probably the best snippet. I also like Save You. I like these “ballad-y but not really” type of songs.

I’m digging quite a few songs! I love how diverse all the tracks are, Kelly wasn’t kidding when she said she didn’t want all the songs to sound the same…very, very cool!! I can’t wait to have the whole CD in my hot little hands!! And why was released earlier in Norway, how is that freakin fair??

Same here. I have a feeling it will happen someday. The idea was definitely there already so TPTB just needs to find that perfect time and perfect song. Both has expressed admiration for each other’s voices and work so it will happen again.

Anyway, it looks like yet another solid album for my Idol queen! I’m so excited for Kelly, the fans and all the success this album is going to have. Kelly’s back with a vengeance! :clap_tb:

whyyawannabringmedown is AMAZING! If I Can’t Have You is totally Ryan Tedder. It’s a rockier version of Beyonce’s “Halo”. This album is full of potential singles. And just like I imagined, the Katy Perry tracks sounds million miles better!

I’m downloading the link from a reliable blog… I’m wondering why “My Life Would Suck Without You” isn’t listed on the track listing though… strange! Good thing I already have it!

I’m going to try to hold off on listening to the whole cd until I buy it March 10th. I did listen to the clips and really liked Don’t Let Me Stop You, If No One Will Listen, Long Shot, and Save You. The only one that I really didn’t like at all was I Want You. I think that one is a steaming mess.

First off, thanks so much for posting the clips, MJ. I am not sure about this album. Clips don’t tell the whole story, but I am not sure how much I like the production on this album.

I hear so many other artists, when I really want to hear Kelly. There’s a bit of Pink. A bit of this. A bit of that.

Certainly some possibilities here, though. I’m not ruling out buying it, but the whole album? Not sure.

i downloaded the leaked album (but i’ve preordered her album already so i don’t feel guilty about it!). it’s very polished (like, REALLY CLEAN sounding) and very very good. catchy all around. i think it’s great. i love kelly. i do wish it were a little more raw though. but still, i’m a huge fan of it.

Yes, totally. And I am a big fan of No Doubt, so I love it. That’s probably my favorite of the snippets. I mean, I love ballady Kelly, but I really lurve it when she just lets it all loose.

Cannot wait!! March 10 can’t get here fast enough! I love having hard copies of albums, so I’m definitely buying it in a store, but I’m trying to decide if I want to download the leak or not.

It’s so weird to hear Kelly’s versions of a couple of these songs, since I’ve been listening to the original versions for a while now as I wait for her new CD to come out.

Haven’t listened to the whole thing yet, but after listening to the clips Whyyouwannabringmedown and Already Gone stand out the most. The first songs are a bit too alike and in the meh side, but it just gets better.

“I Want You” is really different from Kelly, is that Duffy doing background vocals?

Already Gone is wow, wow, wow. Very ethereal!

Kelly makes Long Shot LISTENABLE. It actually sounds like a song now (unlike Katy Perry’s demo version).

Anyways, I’m going to listen to the full album leak and post my thoughts later!

I couldn’t resist downloading the leak. (I *will* buy it on March 10th as well…I’ve got an iTunes balance with Kelly’s name on it!) I’m loving it. “I Do Not Hook Up” is kick awesome (tm Kris Allen) and “Save You” is utter perfection. So, which songs other than “Save You” did Ryan Tedder work on anyway?

As she said, it’s a mixture album. It has Rock/pop anthems, up-beat and fun songs and some heartfelted ones. It’s certainly going to be a smash comeback to her.

Kelly sounds fantastic! I really liked Already Gone, Save You, Whyyawannabringmedown and I Want You (reminded me of Kate Nash or Lily Allen). I only listened to snippets. Based on those a lot of the others sounded similar in tempo and vibe and not as interesting, but I’ll wait to hear the whole songs.

It’s what I expected, but it’s still a good album. Very radio-ready. I’m loving ‘Already Gone’ like everyone else and I’m also digging ‘All I Ever Wanted’. It has a cool Lenny Kravitz vibe to it.

‘I want you’ sounds like a jingle for an iphone commercial.

The intro to Already Gone also sounds a lot like the intro to Halo. Also the underlying beat is very similar to Halo’s. Weird. But I like Halo so it’s all good haha.

Save You and Already Gone are my favorites… =) Some of the rockier songs , she sounds a lot like Pink…I really much prefer her on pop/rock ballads.

I like “I Want You” too. It’s fun, and it totally didn’t hit me at first, but you’re right… it does sound like a song Kate Nash or Lily Allen would sing. Diversity is a good thing, methinks.

I like some of the songs, Already Gone is definitely a stand out. However, I just don’t get a big Kelly vibe from them. Someone mentioned that they heard a lot of other artists when listening to these songs, and I agree. That doesn’t mean that they’re not good songs, just not 100% her, imo. That’s my issue with ‘My Life Would Suck’ and I have the feeling the entire album is going to feel that way for me.

I prefer Katys Hook up to Kellys, but I think Kellys Long Shot is much better than Katys.

I love Kelly to death. I’m so glad she’s making a comeback, although I think it sucks that she had to because I liked her last album too. It was just different than this unabashedly Top 40 sound, which I guess a lot of people didn’t like. But, as they are so fond of saying on Idol, this girl could sing the phone book and it would be awesome.

By the way, MJ, congrats on your mention in EW. Same grade as VFTW…impressive!
