American Idol  Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze is featured on the ninth episode of AOL’s Greetings From Home, a military-themed comedy web series.

VIA The Hollywood Reporter

The episode, titled “From Lee DeWyze With Love,” involves a plot where each of the show’s characters is competing to win a “Military Spouse of the Year” contest. While some try to win by baking cookies, speeding up a pregnancy or shipping a motorcyle, Mihok’s character Pete attempts to get a greeting from the season nine Idol champ for his wife, who is deployed overseas. His teenage daughter, Becky (Evie Thompson) comes through after reaching DeWyze through his Facebook page and DeWyze appears at the end of the episode with a playful and comic greeting, followed by an acoustic performace of his song “Fight.”

The 12-episode series is a comedy centered around a military dad who’s raising two teens on his own while their mother is deployed.

I thought he did really good and his cute personality came through. The snippet of Fight also sounded good.

Oh well, as I do not live in America… can’t see the video but I am sure Lee Dewyze did a great job !

I never noticed a “cute personality” on Lee and did not see one here either. Not to say he doesn’t appear cute to some. Always thought he was rather nondescript and bland. He’s gotta be the weakest of the WGWG constituents. He seems to keep plugging along so will carve out some type of career for himself, I imagine.

I thought Lee did a really good job-he’s a funny guy, as anyone who follows him on twitter knows. He’s turning up and performing all sorts of places lately, including the Hallmark channel and the Malibu Music Awards, as he gets ready to go on tour and release a new album. A song he wrote, “Lullaby” is included in two versions on the new album Fires, by Ronan Keating ( who has sold 25 million albums) that opened at #5 in the UK recently. So yes, he’s having a music career, as will the other Idols Sony has dropped.

    Nice!

Lee did a great job.  As yes, those of us that follow Lee know that he can be very funny and animated.   He looks very cute and relaxed here.   Glad to see he is getting his music out there.

It’s sadly ironic that now that Lee looks cute again- he has thinned down- he can’t get booked on national shows anymore.  It just shows you have a thin window of opportunity for the big time and can’t blow it.

Lee tweeted something about “label talk” with smiley faces, lol. It would appear that something is in the works for him. He also again mentioned putting out an album.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. Seriously.

  • Pippygirl

I’m not really a fan but I don’t know why he would tweet that if there wasn’t something coming up for him. I do tend to be somewhat naive though ;)

Lee is definitely putting a a new album. He’s been working on it most of the year and all the songs are recorded. He’s performed some of his new songs already and recently released this short video of him in the studio working on a new song – it  sounds AMAZING! http://telly.com/NI4DT.  From twitter yesterday…
@leedewyze: I have a very good feeling everyone. Hang in there, my album will be coming out. I wil release my music, and honestly… It will speak volumes about what Ive been up too, and what I’ve been doing. Thank you all so much for your support. Youre the best.

Definitely keeping my fingers crossed for Lee getting signed with a new label. I agree with Pippygirl…he wouldn’t say anything if it wasn’t at least in the talks.

Lee is so cute and adorable! He’s got really blue blue eyes. :)
