Lauren Alaina – “Wildflower” Album Art Revealed (It’s Official)

UPDATE: The album art has been officially unveiled. From an email:

Hey everybody! I am so excited to be able to reveal the cover of my new album, Wildflower, which will be released on Oct. 11th. I can’t wait for you to hear the album, which has 12 songs, including one that I co-wrote. All of the songs are very different, so there’s something on Wildflower for everybody. Each song tells a story that I really related to, and my hope is that the songs will touch your heart as well.

We’ll be releasing more details about the album soon. I wanted to be sure that you were the first to see my new album cover. Thanks for believing in me!

So, apparently, this is the album art for Lauren Alaina’s  upcoming album, Wildflower.

Seriously? This is the best you could do Mercury Nashville? Did the teenaged kid of one of your employees design the cover in a highschool photoshop class?

And this is no diss against the lovely Lauren. The photo had possibilities, but the way it’s airbrushed, with the amateurish-looking shadows does not do her any justice.

And what’s with the splotchy blue white background? And those hideous flowers that look like they came from some 1999 gif collection.  Oy.

Lucky for Lauren, nobody cares about album art anymore.
