LOL I’m delighted he’s doing top 40. He likes the music and he’s got the potential to be huge in this market. And I’ll enjoy hearing him on the radio regularly. It sounds like he’ll have other types of tracks on the album too. So there’s still a chance he’ll do something that’ll suit your taste. I like almost all music genres so I’m just plain happy at the apparent quality of the tracks and production as I await the AMA performance and album release.

I love this track, but I can see why they chose FYE as the lead off single. This song probably would have been a surefire smash if Gaga released it (she has the Midas touch right now) but there is a retro sound that may not get Adam into the door (i.e. Program Directors’ playlist) quickly enough. This could be his second single, if FYE smashes though.

This Lady Gaga song is perfect for Adam Lambert. Instrumentation is simple, vocals more pronounced to effectively demonstrate his amazing signature, simple lyrics, easy to sing by anyone and mostly not easy to forget. Better than FYE.

A combination of Adam singing and a video Lady Gaga dancing or Lady Gaga singing and a video Adam dancing would be perfect for a smash hit. Satisfy our ears and eyes and we have a winner.

Pink didn’t use her song on her album because it was about someone she was dating when she broke up with her husband, she WAS going to put it on the album but when she got back together with her husband she cut it, so IT WAS on the original “Funhouse” tracklisting.
Lady Gaga didn’t use “Fever” because she thought it didn’t fit her really well.
The Muse song: I don’t know, but the song is AWESOME!, I have no idea why they didn’t use it, the song is GREAT.
Sometimes artists don’t use some songs because they don’t fit with the album in general, with the spirit of the album, not because they don’t like it. I’m just glad Adam got this Muse song, I think it’s a great song.

Yes!! Thank you. It’s been bugging me trying to figure out the influences on this song. Theirs some really cool familiar sounds that have been updated. I really like this tune, but don’t like Gaga singing it.

The very beginning of this song with the piano opening has been bugging the crap out of me. Finally I figured it out….it reminds me of the opening to Werewolves of London. Perfect for Adam!

I’m confused. If he had this, why release For Your Entertainment as the first wide release single? Why not do something like Cook did and have a radio single and an alternative single – in this case, for the dance charts?

I know Cavallo was involved in a lot of the album, so I do expect (hope for?) some sort of cohesiveness, and I can see how this fits with For Your Entertainment, but if you include the Muse track…I need to hear the album.

I like what I’ve heard so far, and this could be a really solid album, but I don’t understand what Adam wants or is trying to say. He needs to pick a horse and run with it. I’m hoping the whole album will make sense of it.

OMG.. this song is so perfect for Adam.. and it’s good that the pick FYE for the single.. because FYE is more upbeat.. but definitely I love this song with Adam’s voice in it.

I can so hear Adam singing this! But FYE makes perfect sense for his first single. He needs to expand beyond the Idol bubble and sell lots of records to become the mega success we all know he can be. The stations that will play FYE will bring him to the demographic he needs to build that base. Spoke earlier in the day to my nephew in college who totally loved FYE. He told me that Adam’s single had lots of buzz on campus.

Starting to get a feel that there is going to be many hits on the album…THIS(Fever) being one of them…what a fabulous song, and perfect for Adam!

I like this one, too. So far, so good! All Adam’s talk of fusing this and that could have been brilliant, but it could just as easily (more easily, probably) been a pile of BS. Maybe it’s both, but, so far, so good. I like this, I like FYE, I like the Muse song. TFM is the only clunker for me, so far (but maybe Idol will steal it for the elimination night – won’t work as going home song, but would work as a further delay to announcing the results song).

But if she can do it relatively quickly, she’d probably be better off financially to write for other artists and to stop touring (as that appears to regularly put her in bankruptcy). Of course, given the show she puts on, I suspect that’s where most of the joy is for her.

According to an interview she gave, for years she has put every penny she’s made back into the production of her shows and has ended up literally bankrupt more than once. But I doubt she’s happy about losing Kanye as her touring partner as he would have picked up part of the cost.

Color me surprised, this is the first ladygaga song that I actually like. This is a great song for Adam. Let’s hope they don’t overproduce it, just let it stay raw and rough-around-the-edges. I loved that you can pick out individual guitar strings plucked in the verses.

Mark Bolan is smiling! Gaga does it again. For anyone who thinks that LG is only about electrosynthdancepop, you really should take a listen to the entire The Fame album. She’s just truly madly deeply talented all across the rock/pop spectrum. She has the rare combination of popular sensibilities and artistic depth. I cannot wait to hear what Adam does with this. Bravo Adam and Gaga!

houstonrufus, I’m not an Adam or LG fan either. I’ll be interested in Adam’s take on this. I’m not crazy about her voice, at all, but I can handle Adam’s. Hopefully no major auto-tuning like the single.

I honestly don’t hear auto tuning in the single. I hear vocal effects on some parts but not the pitch smoothing of autotune. There’s a difference.

cookcricket, Soaked sounds really good. I actually liked the “radiohead” style vocal on the demo but I’m a huge Radiohead fan. I like Muse, too. With Adam, it’s hard for me to reconcile the image I have of him from Idol with some rumblings I’ve been hearing about the record.

The lead single is a solid single I think. I’m still not sure if the hook is strong enough for a big first splash, but it’s a good song. I haven’t seen this comparison, but it is very reminiscent of George Michael post-Faith. Those George Michael songs didn’t chart exceptionally high but they still scored high in certain demos. I see the lead single doing the same.

But this song? Great possibilities. Maybe it was a matter of timing, but this sounds like a much stronger song in terms of structure and melody.

Just listened to it again and still don’t like it. It doesn’t sound like Gaga’s current songs on radio. This song can’t be the single, it’s not catchy enough. It won’t be a big hit either because it’s not the kind of song for Top40 radios. JMHO.

I like the beat of this song – Bet Adam will sound awesome!!! I actually think this song is better than FYI. I just feel FYI is kinda’ choppy, not showcasing Adam’s vocals as well as this song will or the way Time For Miracles does.

I am not impressed by Lady Gaga; however, that doesn’t mean that Adam wouldn’t have a hit single with this song. I suppose the title isn’t what I expected as there is only one Fever.

It has a Rod Stewart vibe, & in all honesty, it really needs a whiskey-soaked voice to do it justice.

It is? Well no woder he was so damn excited! I never considered GaGa glam rock- she is more New Wave than anything, but this song is definitely the sound I thought Adam was going for. Don’t get me wrong- I love FYE, but you should never put your best song first out the box, IMO.

I feel disappointed. Didn’t like FYE at all. It’s not catchy for me enought to remember the song and play it back. The beat seems very familiar, don’t know why, yet. Also there’s something seriously wrong with the song – the way of singing, the attitude he displayed. Don’t know how to describe it… (not to be taken the wrong way) like a kitten trying to bark. Adam tries to be seductive, badass and such, but it doesn’t work out (for me).

I heard an interview with LGG where she said that she loves this song but couldn’t make it work for herself but thought it would be a great fit for Adam… I like the way she thinks. It has a pretty addictive beat and the base hooks really stick in your head.
