Season 7 Idol, Kristy Lee Cook signs a record and publishing deal with Broken Bow Records and Magic Mustang Music. Read the official announcement (via Music Row)

Broken Bow Records announced the signing of Kristy Lee Cook to a recording and publishing deal on Broken Bow Music and Magic Mustang Music.

Singer-songwriter Cook, who appeared on the seventh season of American Idol, is also known for her work as a host for The Outdoor Channel’s Outdoor’s 10 Best and Versus’ Goin’ Country.

“Kristy Lee Cook has a natural talent and beauty that is very captivating,” says Benny Brown, Broken Bow Records’ CEO/President. “She has so much going on and is so passionate about her music, we are thrilled to sign her to our Broken Bow roster.”

“Jason Aldean is my favorite country artist,” enthuses Cook. “To be on the same label as Jason is truly a dream come true! I feel like everything has fallen into place and I am now going to get a real shot at my music career. I am so thankful and excited about my future.”

    Is this her second or third label? I’ve never really followed her -although I think her Anyway from AI was lovely (not at all into hunting so that turned me off when her hunting show info was posted here).

    She’s got star quality. I see big things for KLC, and man is she hot as hell.

    It should be interesting to see if this label can do something with her that the others couldnt. I do think she’s gorgeous with a beautiful voice. With the exception of the awful 8 Days a Week I really liked her Idol performances.

    She really does have talent and I was impressed with her at the Idols tour. She’s very commercial too, so I am surprised that she hasn’t been really successful yet. BBR is an indie label though, so perhaps they can give her more attention that Arista could not.

    She’s a songwriter? Did she have self-penned songs on her album? I know it was a major rush job post-Idol.

    man is she hot as hell.

    But is she a skank or a ho bag?

    She is a really effective killer of animals. And an impressive redneck. Shame the music thing never took off. It could have distracted her from these two passions.
