Kristy Lee Cook appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning to promote her new album “Why Wait” She performed her single “15 minutes of Shame”.

it sounds like she started off in the wrong key! the sad thing is that this is like her ONLY promotion for the CD so far. The song is pretty good but not hitworthy. She looks pretty though! How is her album selling?

  • cruzceleste

I like it, and she looked great…

  • Jolene

Her album’s out? Man, she must be the least promoted Idol to ever get a major label deal.
Or, IDK, maybe not, this is my first year following this thing, but I can’t imagine how you’d get LESS promotion.

Aside from the chronic FLATNESS that plagues KLC every time she sings, this was pretty good.

She looked very pretty and sparkly. Its pretty generic pop-country but the song has sorta been growing on me since I put it in my mp3 rotation, lol. I’m glad she leaves out the “Jason” when she sings it live, I find it distracting and, well, just plain weird, when that part comes up in the song.

I like it. ha! It’s a catchy tune even if generic, hope her label promote her more, cause I think she will do well with more promotion. Go Kristy!

I like country music, but that was just meh…

I was trying to remember if Regis & Kelly talked with Kristy Lee or not. I don’t remember them talking with her but maybe I zoned out and missed it.

She looked cute. That’s all I am going to say about the appearance.

Regis wasn’t on the show today, gabam. Kyle Maclahan (?) from Desperate Housewives was sitting in for him. But, no, they didn’t talk to her. They were much more concerned about the guy that was going to hold his breath and wound up breaking David Blaine’s record.

  • cruzceleste

Wow, her album is at number 7 in country albums in iTunes…
15 Minutes of Shame is at 56 in singles..
    Go Kristy…

  • JOJOSIE

I’m not a country fan and I think it’s catchy. I hope this song goes up the charts and gives her a good start in country music.

  • Patchchat

That song only sounded passably tolerable when the background singer joined Kristy and added some weight to the song.

    IMO

She looks cute and spunky, but was definately out of tune part of the time. Maybe she will be like Pickler and improve her vocals. I wish her luck.

  • CRB

The singing isn’t particularly great, I know for a fact that she can sing 15 Minutes of Shame better than this. Moreover, I kind of like the song, definitely the pick of the litter (litterbox? :devil_tb:) from her debut disc.

KLC sure looks pretty and she was in tune (at least part of the time. )

Suggestions for improvement: Kristy Lee ought to take that patently ridiculous eye f**k that she does (and that new side-to-side head move too) and toss it in the dumpster because it simply doesn’t work at all on television.

  • Keel

That wasn’t that bad! Based on the comment above, I thought she’d be way off key for most of the song or something. She sounded good to me; not spectacular or anything but decidedly good. I’m glad she’s finally getting some promotion. Hope there’s more for her in the future.

The only thing that distracted me was the funny way she kept on looking and flirting into the camera. I don’t recall her being that distracting with the camera interaction while she was on AI. Maybe she forgot how to play for the cameras without looking like she was playing for cameras — or something. Also, someone needs to do her eye makeup better. But she looked very pretty nonetheless.

The album is great. I know she had a sore throat and it worked good. The album is definatly worth the money, and next weekend she begins a video from what I heard today. I hope so, they do suck at promotions to date anyways. I wish her luck.
