Pardon my ignorance but isn't this topic about Kris Allen at Disneyworld in Orlando? Why then are a majority of the comments about Adam and/or religion?

He was amazing at Disneyworld. Good on ya, Kris!

On a related-but OT issue, I wonder if Kris understands that even a à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹compedà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ hotel room is à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹incomeà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ under the tax code. Adam has traveled extensively via road shows, so Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m sure he understands keeping every receipt for expenses etc. I wonder if they explain to these kids that every single freebie (i.e. the car) is à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“incomeà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ which must be accounted for.

Actually, the hotel room and traveling provided to him these last couple of weeks are not "income", as they are work-related. All these appearances that Kris is making are part of his "work" as he is fulfilling his contractual obligation with 19E. This is like the company paying for the hotel/airfare/food to send an employee on a business trip. If Adam was keeping his receipts for expenses during his prior road show trips, they're for tax deduction, as all work-related expenses are tax deductible.

TKat, I was being slightly facetious and sarcastic when I made that post (Kris stating he is opposite of conservative, Huckabee being conservative ordained So. Baptist Minister but not shoving it down his guests throats, yada, yada). Did not come off well, meh.

Kris may very well not be a liberal. He has kind of said that he's the opposite of conservative, I believe (or maybe I'm misremembering.) But that could mean liberal or just open-minded or something else.

I do see why somebody probably couldn't be a liberal and do everything that your average evangelical church says. But a lot of us have been in churches that we grew up in where we might be believers but end up not believing everything that that particular church said, so I can also see that someone trying to follow the bible closely might think they had no choice but to be a liberal -- give away what you have to the poor, welcome and love everybody including beggars and prostitutes and thieves being hung on crosses, render unto Caesar the taxes that are Caesar's while giving God what's God's, not covet or be greedy about stuff, figure that a camel can go through the eye of a needle easier than a rich man can get into heaven, not kill people in undeclared wars waged on and in countries that never did you any harm.

I don't really think that Kris's faith tells us which way he goes politically. Could be either way or something in the middle.

Whatever it is, though, he seems like a great guy to me.

thereà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s no need to be so defensive. I was not attacking you in the slightest. I merely wanted to address your statements that à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Mike H is more like Kris in his viewsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ and Mike H is more of a Christian liberal like Kris and is very open minded because frankly, theyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢re not alike at all. Based on Krisà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ own interview statements, theyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢re probably on opposite ends of the political spectrum.

Hey you all, not to get political or involved in a religios discussion -- but just to be accurate, Kris has said he is not conservative BUT did he ever say he was liberal?

Kris is open-minded and very nice -- and I think he's a great representative of what is best about the Evangelical Christians I know. But he is an Evangelical Christian. And you can't be be a Liberal and a believing Evangelical Christian.

Kris has been a worship team leader for the New Life Church for a number of years. He has also gone on a number of church missions. The first line on his church's Website's "What We Believe" section says:

"We believe that the Bible is God's word. That it is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our daily lives."

my favorite part of the EW Kris interview: he reserves the right to make fun of Danny Gokey!

From the Access Hollywood clip with the top 10 (minus Adam & Kris), it did seem like Danny was everyone's favorite punching bag. I guess he is a good sport so everyone feels comfortable teasing him.

Well, Mike Huckabee seems to understand our tax system pretty well so hopefully if Kris doesn't realize this (which I'm guessing he does) Mike will give him a heads up.

There is a clip of Yesterday from the interview to air tomorrow on
http://www.krisallenation.com/ with Mike H on bass guitar, who knew! If you wait a little longer Kris sings a bit of When You Wish Upon a Star re his Disney trip (same clip).

Thank you for that! There is also a clip from "Best Day Ever" posted there! Too Funny! It's too late to apologize...

The clip from "Yesterday" is kick awesome! lol! I cannot wait to see the entire song!!

ETA: Okay, I guess this has been posted?

I subscribe to EW so I had that issue waiting for me when I got home but I have to agree that the popwatch thing was better. what it needed was more pages to fill us in on all the goodness that is Kris Allen.

Also, if really want a hot picture of Kris, get People and look at the table of contents page. He looks too freaking hot in a tshirt. Okay, I'll stop tarding out now. haha

laid-back shy guy didnt mind being the only guy in band playing the viola.

ETA: Wiki to the rescue, here is an article (with pictures showing the relative sizes) of the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“violin familyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬

Okay, I giggled for a minute straight over how ridiculously large the octobass is.

Viola's so...random. Like everyone wanted to play violin or cello and the music teacher was like "um, could someone volunteer to play viola?" and of course, Kris obliged.
