Yes! Love Kris and Jim together. Always hilarious. I feel like a loser for not ever hearing about this game, Settlers of Catan though. Haha!

So stoked on the tour news! He wasn’t kidding when he said he’d be touring forever! Glad he is going the David Cook route in that way. Since it’s so long hopefully he can do some opening shows, some college shows, and maybe even some club shows on his own.

I really don’t care long as he comes near me though!

Judging by the comments between mine and yours, you are not alone. I’d never heard of that game til Jim C. tweeted about it. I don’t know how old everyone is here…. but I’ve got 10 – 15 years on Jim and Kris… maybe it’s popular with the 20-somethings??

Whatever it is, I’m sure he’ll have a fantastic time–he and his band look like they really enjoy performing together.

I’ve played Settlers of Catan and I’m old, so… But I think we played it with relatives, some of whom are 20-somethings who got into the game in college. We sat around in the dorm playing euchre till all hours, and I got the impression my nephews were doing the same thing with Settlers of Catan. Anyway, it’s very addictive and fun and requires you to think and plan, although not as time-consuming or annoying as Monopoly or chess or something.

Glad to hear plans for the tour are forthcoming. Don’t forget Illinois, Kris. We helped sell out the Miracle on State Street for you and the Fray!

Jim, I love the comments you put throughout your dorky interviews with Kris but please keep them a little longer on the screen. I have to pause the video every 5 seconds to catch your “sophisticated” words.

I love that he randomnly keeps making references to Kris’ songs. I mean, Kris started it unintentionally with BIB (Jim really loves that song, me too, but I don’t know if it should be 2. single maybe 4. since I agree with him on the 3. one) but then Jim goes on with RG and AWM.

I love that Jim is such a genuine fan of Kris’s music, as evidenced by his references to Kris’s songs on this “interview”. “Bring It Back” pitched as the second single, followed by an actual QUOTE of a line from “Alright With Me”? So adorable! Jim wins so much!

It really felt like a conversation between good friends, and how awesome is it that Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) actually went to one of Kris’s shows? I’m telling you guys. Kris is irresistible. Everyone he meets he “swoons”, as Jamie Foxx used to say hahaha People Kris looks up to, like Joe King of the Fray and Mat Kearney, all seem to be won over by Kris. Danielle Fishel was raving about him on The Dish, and now Ben Savage! Maybe it was that rather surreal discussion in another thread about how typical guys sit with their legs spread apart. However, at the start of this LX New York interview, I couldn’t help but be distracted by the animated tv station logo that just happened to be located right between Kris’ legs.

I’m happy. I don’t want any grumbling which will happen if the concert will be in Little Rock.

Hopefully that all three will get equal supports. No massive exits / bathroom breaks.

Thanks for the Orlando videos! Can hear some girls singing along, which is probably very cool for the band. Andrew (guitarist) seems to be moving about more, looks really into it, and wearing plaid. Since I liked the way he took the stage and moved like a rockstah. After all, standing at a stationary mic and playing guitar for every song gets kind of old. Then again, I never saw him do it with guitar so what right do I have to an opinion? So would whoever was there at the Orlando concert kindly do a recap and let us know what y’all thought about that? (I never say “y’all”, but since this is Florida I’ll make an exception. lol)

Once again he shows no respect for Kris, the winner with his name on the second place and Adam is front of that picture. I won’t be surprised if Adam ends up headlining that concert. Sorry have to say my thought out loud here. Now I will watch Kris’ vid and be happy again.

WOW! Is It Over…around the 3:05 mark. This might not be the best place to put this, but I wanted Kris’s fans to see it! I’ve never been a huge fan of this song, but this is pretty awesome.

It’s been advertised like that since the voting started, not just now. I was stunned! It’s so incredibly disrespectful. I guess they don’t realize it would tend to alienate all the people who voted to make Kris the Idol.
I don’t even see the reason to put Adam’s name first. Would fewer people buy tickets if his name came second and Kris’s came first?

But Kris has a way of getting attention, anyway, no matter how much they try to put him in second place, doesn’t he?

Ok, I liked Kris a lot on the show (I’d never even noticed him until he and Meagan faced off at Top 13), but I gotta say he’s blowing me away lately. Seems like since Madison Square Garden he has just been in.his.element!! What other surprises is this guy keeping from us?! Oh, the interview that you guys were trying to find (the one with the logo…haha)? Saw that last night, and I was happy to see that he was soooo comfortable in that interview. He has come a long way in that department. The IIO vid from Florida? Now I can’t wait for the AOL Sessions vids! It’s so great to be a Kris Allen fan. I know his mama has to be so proud.

I think that a tour of smaller venues is great for Kris. Have inexpensive enough tix that he gets some folks to try it out who don’t know the CD, and boom. More people start to know his music and ideally like it enough to buy the CD. I’m a little surprised that they announced such a long tour right off the bat. I would think that announcing a shorter tour would increase the odds of selling out earlier concerts (leading to nice press on that), plus then you can have a nice announcement of extending your strong-selling concert tour. But maybe they wanted to show support for him by announcing such a long tour? Which, I guess that it does.

They haven’t actually officially announced anything about a tour yet. Kris has said recently that they haven’t even really start planning the tour — he doesn’t even seem to know what kind of tour — or tours — it will be. The February-September thing is just a vague idea right now. I think he’s just thinking he will end up doing something along the lines of what David Cook has been doing. But there’s nothing official yet.

The promo video for this concert says it all. The whole video focuses mainly on Adam and to a slight extent on Allison, with a bit of Kris here and there. The beginning of the video plays Adam’s single and his music video. Even Allison’s single was played at the end. Nothing from Kris at all. If the promo for Kris is already so pathetic, you could imagine how his set might be. I hope all Kris fans in NY would come out in full force for the concert. It’s already terrible enough that he would not get to perform in his home state. And now, he might end up opening for the runner-up.

“The Truth” from yesterday is AMAZING and I like the change he made at 3:56. It’s such a concert song. I mean, it pushes his voice a lot but he handles it really well. There is also a slight change in AWM at 1:05. I really enjoy all the live versions of the songs. Andrew kill it during the guitar solos and the trio at the end of IIO is so fun to watch.

If I haven’t seen him performing it without the guitar I wouldn’t mind but we have already seen all these amazing performances where he owns the stage during that song, so I will say this: KRIS STAY AWAY FROM THE GUITAR WHILE SINGING CSA. So that was one fundamental rule that was broken. Another one was that two members of the band wore plaid yesterday, Andrew and Cale. I wish I could find sth funny or snarky to say about it but I can’t so that’s just an observation.

I think in that set Kris’ microphone is just set too low / the instruments are too high.
The video from Orlando was just right because you can hear Kris clearly.

In any case this song is just amazing but I was afraid from Orlando’s video that Kris will pop up his neck vein singing it.
