From what his publicist tweeted, Kris did a LOT of interviews with tv stations tonight. Just saw him on the local L.A. Fox station. And he’s going to be on Good ay L.A. tomorrow.

This is probably standard procedure for the reigning Idol when the show starts up again, I’m thinking? But it’s still good publicity.

oh and that Perez article is just designed to keep the fan wars burning. Would be nice to see an article that celebrates the success both guys are having withou comparing them. But that’s probably a pipedream…

Kris got a really nice bump tonight on iTunes – LLWD is at a new peak (#20), and the album is currently at #77 after being around #120-ish earlier today.

BTW, I liked that Kris promoted his album to Country fans in this interview!

I agree Kris always looks good, but nothing beats Kris when he’s wearing a henley. *sigh* I just watched S8 Finale and he wore one for “What’s Goin’ On”. Man, he’s gorgeous!

Glad to see Kris get press but I think Perez only posted that knowing it would drive up hits with all the fanwar crap. But whatever, Yay for Kris!

All this Kris stuff makes me so happy!! My daughters and I were screaming when that Ford commercial came on TV last night. I have to say that it is a pity that it wasn’t longer. Kris looked awesome on my big TV. I was really hoping that was a sign that AWM was the next single. It sounded soooooo good. I just know that song would be infectious. I have to admit that when I first heard the 30 sec. clips, it was my least favorite song. Go figure. #teamAWM now.

I watched AI online first, then on my TV here on the west coast. I fell asleep but woke up at the start of the Ford commercial. I find that oddly funny that Kris’ speaking voice would wake me up, but the show itself put me to sleep.

I love that Ford used ‘Alright With Me’ in the commercial. It’s a perfect drive time song … or as others may say, ‘summer song’. Complaint is that they cut the commercial off in the middle of a phrase.

Take this with a grain of salt. He’s the same person who said that David Archuleta was going to Manila with Katy Perry… and it didn’t happen. Also, notice that the dates of the concert are reversed.

Also, I hope the rumor of Adam also going to the Phillipines at the same concert with Kris and being the final act is just a rumor. I don’t want to have to hear about Kris “opening” for Adam. Why can’t they just do their own thing. If Adam’s people want him to go to the Phillipines…can’t he go at another time…let’s have kris have his moment as well. If they do this…the comparisons will never stop. I am taking with a grain of salt.

I also hope the rumored Kradam concert is just that — humor. I don’t mind Adam going in Manila at another time but 1) the roster is, for me, already full (3 acts), and 2) ITA RE: comparisons, snide comments of Kris being the “front act”.

Kris Allen is really growing on me as an artist and person. He strikes me as a very confident person, who knows who he is, and what he’s about. He doesn’t seem to have an egotistical need to oversell himself or prove anything. I find that refreshing in the world of huge egos, it’s all about me attitude, that is so prevalent today among newcomers. I am referring to all artists with that attitude, btw. I am not singling out any one particular artist. Congratulations on going Gold with the song kris!

I can’t edit, so I will just add here. For all the discussion about Kris being short, I think this American Idol may just end up with the longest legs of all from last season, if you know what I mean! Congrats

I think Kris is going to do just like on the show….lower profile in the beginning, slow and steady and showing what he can do from week to week. In turn, expanding his fan base, even though he may have started out with not alot of fan fare. Sloe and steady usually wins the race. I think Kris will continue to build momentum.

Question: for considering of Gold or Platinum, is it just domestic sales or do international sales count as well. The other day on the AI rerun where Daughtry was presented with the platinum plaque Ryan said it was for I think 4-5 million records worldwide? I am not sure what the numbers are based on.

OT question…is anyone having trouble staying logged in?
