Kris just wrapped up his concert. He went into the crowd during the encore and someone gave him some crazy blinking sunglasses. Hopefully he wore them so they will show up on the video. I wish the venue security woul have let the crowd stand up, though. Way to be a buzzkill. From the tweets, though, it sounds like Kris did great again, though

Just got back from Kris’ concert here in Manila.

After getting to watch Kris live, no one, and I do mean, NO ONE can ever convince me that

a.) he can’t sing his butt off
b.) he is boring
c.) he is totally bland
d.) he is not a “performer”

Coming from someone who actually thought that Heartless/Gangsta Paradise Mashup was better based on youtube vids, I believe his best performance was Falling Slowly/With or Without You. I was in tears over that song. I guess I was really taken aback by how awesome he sounded on that mashup and how heartfelt it was.

Wow – I think this pic of Kris is awesome! Also, from the pic of the Manila crowd and reading various tweets, the place looked packed and the concert was great! One tweeter was upset the VIP section staff wouldn’t allow the fans to stand (boo on that decision) – guess they were worried fans would get out of control. It’s nice to see Kris getting so much love in the Phillipines.

Just got back from the concert. OMG. Amazing. The place was PACKED, and assuming the seat plan posted on Ticketworld was correct, the place holds 25,000+ people.

No. But we got to have a photo-op with Kris before the concert during the meet and greet session. The band was nowhere to be seen. That’s where Paulie and I got acquainted actually.

I missed the show. I was at an office affair tonight but I hoped to catch at least the Kris set. Unfortunately, I got lost trying to find dang McKinley Hills and that Piazza venue and drove around the area for close to an hour. By the time I found the place, I could already hear the opening line to ANS. Pfft!

I see the Cebu shirt trumps the Manila one. Woot! lol (Of course, nothing beats the purple shirt and beanie on the plane. Heh.)

It’s cool he has such a large audience. I think it’s interesting that the Philippines always seems to have such a big interest in AI.

One thing I love about these concert performances is that Kris & the band aren’t confined to the only 3 minutes or so that are allowed for TV performances. Kris & Andrew especially have so much freedom & opportunity to show us so much more and have so much more fun. I approve.

I think it’s because it’s so “different” from singing contests here. The judges are not so polite and there is variety as far as singing styles.

But, the idols themselves vary in popularity depending on the kind of music they release. I think Kris is not even at the peak of his popularity here. Which is why I’m kind of pleasantly surprised with the huge turnout for his concert.

We were at the concert and kris was amazing! Our vids turned out terribly, sorry! He put so much into it and I thought CSA and IIO were particularly great, plus AWWM for the number of people on stage and the big sweaty hugs as he called them. And cone together with the red glasses. The huge bummer was that security made people sit, not just in our section. I think kris was disaoponted at first and kept asking if people were having fun. But then the screaming got really loid! I wish someone had told him that this concert behavior happens in some places in asia. It was a great night! I hope he didn’t pass out afterwards from the heat. He puts 100 percent into it!

I must confess that I usually don’t like Kris playing guitar on CSA but man, This one from Manila was dayum good. The energy they all put into it was A+++++. Wow!
As for the rest, amazing. It’s a pity I might not catch him here in Nashville, TN.
But I’ll love to travel to Arkansas which we all know will be epic no matter what.

Paulie, Carmine, and Adigirl, I am so glad that you had such an awesome time. It looks like they really had fun performing and pulled out all the stops. I’m glad they had the chance to do these concerts. They’ll be in great shape for the NYC concert.

First of all I want to say a BIG thank you to the videographers who took the time and effort to film the show and to share it with us back here in the states. Kris is so much fun to watch perform, he just throws his whole self into each song. If I have any criticism at all it would be that I would like to see a little bit of a flourish of some kind at the end of each song to mark that end. Sometimes it seem like the performance just peters out. Idk, I’m just nitpicking, really it’s a minor thing. I don’t know what I’d want him to do, to change it, so just ignore me please, lol.

Oh, and who ever that ANS video belongs to, the one mj has embedded up above, it was corrupted when I watched it a little bit ago. Quite a bit of pixelation going on. Idk if that can be fixed by re-uploading it? I really have no idea how that all works. Just an FYI. The audio was still good though, and I enjoyed it very much, otherwise. I’m not complaining, just letting you know. *smiles*

Kris was so amazing in all these videos…. Every single note was perfect!!!! guh….. I wonder why he sounded hoarse last night? and was absolutely “spot on” perfect in every single song in these videos. Weird…
Was that Torres on “Written All Over My Face” doing all the “ooh, ooh, oohs??? I didn’t know he could get so high up there!!!!
Kris’ voice fits “The Truth” so well, I got choked up listening to it. The vocal were just so gorgeous…….

some random tidbits from the show that wasn’t on the videos –
- i was sitting behind 3 girls who kept yelling “we love you kris!” throughout the show, and at one point kris went “hey where did that come from?” and he looked around until he found the 3 girls waving and screaming at him (i waved from behind them too of course haha)
- after the falling slowly mashup, kris acknowledged that he got “quite emotional” during the performance.

I only saw 2 videos, I didn’t like them.

I FREAKIN LOVED THEM! (lol I really like the fake-out). Ain’t No Sunshine was AMAZING. Alright With Me sounded like a ton of fun! Liked how he brought some fans up there. TBH I don’t think I’ve ever seen him have more fun. It’s really great.

Go Kris! Really hope he’s having fun, while I’m the Kris fan, my mom is the bigger Adam fan (I think?) but she’s screaming happiness for Kris (Probably because she’s Filipino).

watching Kris perform live was the most awesome thing that i experienced. he just put so much heart into each song/performance. my friend even called him “a total performer” hahaha. The Truth and Falling slowly/With or Without You are may fave. i cannot believe that it is all over…Kris what have you done to me??!!!

I just watched a few of these videos and went from laughing out loud to being very moved in a matter of a few minutes, depending on the song.

Even though I’ve always loved Kris, I’m kind of speechless when I see him lately. He’s an awesome performer and entertainer. He really is. Very heartfelt. He relates so well to the audience, and vice-versa. I think audiences are going to be getting some very good shows from Kris and his band.

Oh be still my heart! I’ve watched three so far, IIO, Red Guitar and FS mash up! I’ve only skimmed a few comments too, but saw the one where Kris got emotional during FS mash up, before watching it. The video is amazing(!!!!) and I can only imagine how much better it was in real life. I honestly had to kind of just sit here after watching it. I haven’t watched any other yet, but I’m still savoring that one.

Oh good. I’ve seen so many FS mashup before, but I’ve never seen one this emotional. And I have to constantly remind myself that what I’m hearing is LIVE vocal. Amazing. And because of the rock WOWY and all the guitars, etc, you feel so emotionally drained by the end of the song.

I remember back at the Jingle Balls and people commenting about not having Kris merchandise for sale. Wouldn’t the label be allowed to set aside a certain number of cds on behalf of the artist to be used for promotional purposes that would count toward their actual sales?

Watched most of the videos so far and all I can say is OMG! Every song is sounding and looking awesome.

I can’t say what’s my favourite is as I love all of them. One of the best was IIO. It’s not my fave from the album but I like live versions of it. Last night they performed the best ever version of it, it can’t be topped.

Other surprise was Come Together. IMO it hasn’t been among Kris’ best songs (I still love studio version), but in Manila Kris was a true rockstar when performing it.

It’s so heartwarming to see Kris so happy when he’s doing what he loves to do. I LOVE these videos and I’m happy for the people who could attend to that gig. Thank you for the videos and recaps!

I don’t think major-label artists usually sell CDs at concerts. But I don’t know. Maybe it happens. I don’t ever remember going to a Bruce Springsteen concert, or whatever, and seeing CDs for sale.

If people liked Kris at that concert, they would probably go online, or to a record store, and buy a CD, right?

I don’t see how profits from CDs could be divided among the various recipients if some person in a booth at a concert was selling them. How could you trust people not to skim money, and that kind of thing? I think Kris’s CD’s should be available from the usual reputable sellers and if people want to get them, it’s not hard to get them. I bought one, it was pretty easy to do. I guess I just don’t get why people keep making an issue of something I don’t think is an issue.

And when Kris tours there probably will be merch.

Ha ha, no need to feel sorry for Katy. See the short interview at Manila ? where the host was asking about all the girls and how it affect Katy. Kris said that it was easy not to mess it up cause she is a great girl.

Jealous, yes. Sorry, no.

Okay, I just remembered this tidbit. When he introduced FS he said that he hated movie week on idol because he doesn’t like movie songs. He continued that FS particularly was an exception. Most of the people in my section screamed like crazy when he revealed that it was FS. My friend who loves this song was so amazed at the progression of the song. The rocked out instrumental intro of WoWY was so epic and it flowed seamlessly. At first people didn’t realize that he was combining FS with WoWY until they heard the “With or without you…” line and that’s when they started singing along. I have to reiterate that this was the song of the night for me. IF I wasn’t a fan before (but I am) I would have been after hearing this. Just perfect.

EDIT: I also remember that Kris asked people to scream by sections. First the left side, the middle, then the right side. Then, he asked the “back” section of which I was a part of to scream. And everyone screamed like crazy. I think we kicked everyone’s butt ’cause Kris commented afterward that “That was loud, “back”". The people in my section giggled. It was a really cute moment.

There was also part between songs (I can’t remember which ones) when he was introducing the next one and the he suddenly stopped and said “I’m going to get some water, I’m going to talk to you while I’m getting some water”. He then proceeded to walk towards the back of the stage to get his bottle of water and then continued talking about the next song. Classic Kris. I really thought it was funny.

Agree with you ross. When an artist is signed with a major label, CDs can be found at the stores, so there is no need to sell them at the show venues. I’ve seen CDs sold at some concerts when the artist recordings is not or not well distributed.
But yes for merchandise. Were there any sold for Kris?

I kind of agree with ross that maybe in Asia it is better to buy the CD from the store ( from the artist point of view). But hopefully, in the US, there will be CDs in the venue. I can’t count how many stuff I bought because of emotion. If I have the time to go home and think about it first, I’ll probably won’t buy most of the merchandise. That is why it is important too to have him tour or open for someone else. There is no point if all the fans already have the CD before the concert.

There was no merchandise for Kris. But then again, most of the people in the audience were already fans who might already have the album. So, It’s really not that big of a loss for them.

Sorry if my recap is coming in bits and pieces but one of the people with me (a friend of a friend) commented afterward that he didn’t expect Kris to sound so great live. I actually told him that Kris sounded a little hoarse (though he still sounded great) maybe because of his performance in Cebu. But, he said if Kris was hoarse he didn’t notice it. So, maybe that was just me being nitpicky. Hahaha.

Did anyone here already mentioned that Kris said he loves the Philippines because the weather makes him sweat? LOL! We love it when you sweat too, Kris. We really do.

My only nitpick with Kris was that he was TOO BOUNCY! I can’t take a good photo of him. Hehe.

Loved the encore performances. ANS and CT (with GaGa glasses) = full of win.

Before his set started, I think I saw Kris (in beanie) in the dark taking a pic of the crowd. He must’ve feel good at such a turnout! Also, the hosts were asking people to sing for Kris while we’re waiting. That was nice to hear.

That is the word I was looking for. It started as a ballad and ends up as an epic rock. It is PERFECT for large stadium- type of a song. Amazing. I don’t think Kris is a Rock God, or is he ? Acoustic guitarist ?
These Phillipines concerts just completely open my eyes. I know that his voice can fill the big place a la AI tour, but this is just ridiculous.
And I know that the 2 mashup songs by itself are great, but Kris delivered it so incredibly.

My thoughts on the videos: Kris was totally in his element; he looked like he was having a blast. I thought opening with “Heartless” was an excellent idea. The roar of the fans when he sang the opening bars was just amazing. I also thought it was great to see him without the guitar on different songs. It does give him the freedom to emote more and concentrate on his vocals.

“Alright With Me” was so fun to watch. I thought it was cool that he was interacting with the girls on stage, and at one point even going down on his knees (haha flirty Kris!). My favorite performance was definitely “IS It Over”. I loved the guitar trio of Kris, Andrew and Cale and they just looked like they were having so much fun. I also think this is by far the best performance of “Written All Over My Face”.

I hope Kris and the band had a blast. I thought the crowd reception was awesome and the turnout was amazing. Can’t wait for their US tour.

I actually told him that Kris sounded a little hoarse (though he still sounded great) maybe because of his performance in Cebu. But, he said if Kris was hoarse he didn’t notice it. He did start out with his voice a bit dry. (I was a bit afraid that he would hurt his throat because of it.) I can’t describe it well enough but the friend I had with me said that he was still warming up. For Kris, it would be like singing too early in the morning (his time) and, from my limited experience in singing, it is really hard to sing that time. But, hey, from the videos of songs later on – HE DID GREAT! so…

The video of Kris eating balut was priceless. I wish we knew who took that and uploaded it. I’m sure it is not himself. I’m a bit skeptical that it is someone close to Kris, though I do wish they had a videographer along. I would love to watch a documentary of his trip and concerts.

One of the things that I love about Kris is he lays himself out bare naked when he is performing. He has no care of how he ‘looks’ – it’s just him and the music. When he sings, I believe it.

They had professional photographers there. We weren’t allowed to take pictures and to ask for an autograph. The meeting and greeting part lasted just seconds. But in the end it doesn’t matter. I got to shake Kris’ hand and stand beside him for the pictures. He put his left arm around me too so I will never wash the jacket I was wearing. Hahaha.

To be fair, he really does not need to think about how he looks to begin with. The guy looks great no matter what.

He is an amazing performer and I can’t wait to see him live again. He has a way of pulling you into the music with him. I agree with you Twigla about him laying himself out there. I also believe it and I don’t feel like he is acting like a musician, he is one. I also love how he likes to involve the audience and make sure that they are getting as much out of his performances as possible. His Alright with me is so much fun to watch.

You are killing me with these concerts. I got nothing done this weekend except Kris-gaze. Time well spent I might add.

I knew you would be amazing doing your own songs, but the band you put together is rockin. Love, love, love the KAB – especially you. (Would love to someday hear the band do some songs from BNS. There are some standouts on that album.)

I know that it has been said many times, many ways, but thank you to all that share these videos with us. It is amazing that I can basically sit in my own house and feel as if I am at a Kris concert. I know that it is a sacrifice for those who video tape while they are trying to enjoy Kris in person, so TYVM!

On a side note, wow, Kris is really turning into a performer. I am loving how comfortable he is on stage. I really hope that I get to see him in person again really soon. Tour dates would be great Kris!

I was a bit worried like a mother listening to Kris’ first song. His voice was hoarse too early in this tour. After watching that video.. it must have been the balut!

Love him indeed. Intro of Red guitar was very nice. He really rock it. But, I thought that it was a bit rushed as he wasn’t on until late. Definetely I will watch and see him again only this time hopefully ‘solo’.

My daugther-in-law was saying that there were actors and actresses in the audience at the VIP section and that the guy who gave him the ‘Red’ glasses was the brother’s producer of the show, the brother of Anjo Illana.

I think she mixed up the brothers. The producer of the show is Jomari Yllana, not Anjo. And yes there were a lot of actors and actresses on the VIP area. I saw some of them during the meet and greet session.

Pardon me, ‘Solo’ means Kris and the band. They did a great job.
They are all getting better and better. It was evident that there was a very good rapport between the members in the band and Kris.

The audience were subdued at the start with Boyce Avenue and the Band. The crowed has gotten louder and roudier with Jabbawozkee and there was this long (for me) contest thing before Kris and the audience has started chanting his name.

Some people could be star struck or a lot were way too busy taking their videos. Like I said, the back was the best part of the crown as they have kept calling and screaming and kept cheering all along.

Here in Hongkong, people are subdude crown because they love to listen and enjoy the music of the performer. There will be roar of applause at the end of each song. Other places can be different.

Pretty sure Singapore and Malasia can be a totally different experience for Kris!

Thank you Mrsdarcy and carmine2008: I was more curious from a culture viewpoint than anything else. It’s hard to get the true picture with video’s because they usually end right after he is done singing. I honestly wish more concerts were like that. I much rather hear the musician than the fans screaming. :} But he does have a way of pulling the crowd in and getting them to react..

I think the Pinoy crowd is generally a tough one. Also, the thing with concerts like this where several artists are playing is that the crowd will be pretty diverse. Some people go to see it because they like one featured artist or band only. Some go because they like two of those featured. Still others see it because they like all the artists/bands on the show.

In the case of the Cebu show, at least, and from my observation point, the Jabbawockeez got the biggest crowd reception. (From the account of some people I know who were at the Manila show, it was pretty much the same thing.) In Cebu, the venue wasn’t quite full yet when Boyce Avenue started playing. Once the Jabbawockeez were announced to go next, the place suddenly filled up and the energy level noticeably went up once they started dancing. By the time Kris came on, a small number of people were leaving or sitting down again. A good-sized crowd remained, though, but the energy level generally went down. (Of course, the show had been going on for more than two hours by then. Even I, who was also really excited for Kris, hardly had enough to give anymore.)

I think the artists themselves may have made the same observation. I believe Kris probably felt it somehow…thus, the comments about the big crowd being so quiet. Boyce Avenue seemed to know it, too. What I found particularly interesting is that when I was chatting with two of the BA guys during the shuttle ride from the plane to the arrival area, one of them asked me who I went to the show to see. As I was beginning to say “all of you,” he suddenly said, “you like the Jabba, no?” He didn’t sound mad saying it, either. I told him I came to see all of them but yes, I do like the Jabbawockeez a lot. He then said something like, “yeah, they’re good, no?” in an almost awed tone. (Quietly, I was thinking, “what the heck gave me away?” lol)

My friends who were at the Manila show said that security was making everyone in the seated section sit down. But, they also said that everyone that they could see were very excited to see Kris.

I was away yesterday and have been trying to catch up on all the Kris stuff! So glad the overseas fans showed him some love!!

A friend who was at the Manila show said there were approximately 36,000 people there and it was FULL!!!!!!! Wow…I can’t imagine performing for a crowd that huge!

The crowd was cheering for Jabbawockeez not because they are the most popular but because they continuously demand the screaming from the crowd. And its perfectly okay since their presentation is more visual than auditory, so screaming during their routine wouldn’t disturb anything. Kris and BA on the other hand only do so in between songs. Also, they sing so most people would rather listen than scream.

As far as I can see in the Manila leg, almost all the people were there for Kris.

The picture of Kris from the airport, two things, no three (unlike some judges we know, I CAN count — 1) he looks pretty wiped out, but he HAS been working hard the last couple of days. 2) He still looks hawt as hell! 3) Somebody needs to buy that poor boy a new messenger bag.

Also, want to add my thanks to all of the wonderful videographers. I’ve not gotten much done because of you all this weekend, but it’s totally okay.

Of course, I wasn’t there, but judging from all the YouTube vids I’ve seen, the crowd response to Kris was fantastic. I can’t imagine any artist wanting more.

I’ve watched hundreds of concert videos of various bands and artists on YouTube, and this compares favorably. To me, it sounded like an excellent, enthusiastic crowd.

Hope that Kris didn’t feel indifference because he was the star of the whole thing and so he was!

He made it to number 1 VH1 again probably because Sinagpore is the home of Channel V and Starworld in Asia. In that respect, he’s here for the Southeast Asian fans and a lot has voted for him for sure.

Just to further expound, when I said that they demand the screams, I don’t just mean that their performance style demand it but that they actually constantly gesture, cue and told the crowd “to make some noise” hence the loud response.

I don’t blame you for thinking I have an axe to grind. I was already here at the height of the Soul Patrol fever and when I wrote after seeing Taylor’s first Manila show that the crowd wasn’t as receptive as Elliott’s first Manila show crowd was, I got similar or worse comments from TH fans from the US and even those from the Philippines (who were at the Taylor show but didn’t see Elliott’s). That was really pretty silly, though, since as much as I love Elliott and his voice, I have always said that Taylor’s shows here were the ones I enjoyed more because Taylor is a more complete entertainer than Elliott is and he definitely knows how to put on a show. I am also more fond of Archie than I have ever been of Cookie but I had no doubt after their show here that Cookie was the one that totally commanded that big stage. (If it means anything at all, my favorite from that season was Jason Castro.)

I wasn’t as into last season’s Idol as I used to be, but you may be surprised to know that of all the finalists, I liked Kris best. (I thought Adam would win, yes, but I didn’t think Elliott had a shot of being AI, either, and believed Castro wouldn’t even make it to Top Four). So, really, ross, don’t think I have an axe to grind against Kris because you would be completely wrong. Silly, even.

I didn’t notice you grinding an axe, purplesmile, and I’m a huge Kris fan! It does sound like there were a lot of people there to see Jabawockeez at the Cebu show. That said, from the videos I’ve seen, it sounds like the crowd was still very enthusiastic about Kris. And the Manila crowd seemed very excited for Kris, and it sounds like they got more than their money’s worth!

By the way, in case anyone here hasn’t seen them, melvel, one of my friends who was at the Manila show, is slowly but surely uploading super-super-HQ vids of Kris’s whole set (minus the last three songs which came after her camera died, so she had to go to her backup).

I really wish I had made it to the Kris set of the Manila show. Or gotten in immediately after I arrived (encore portion), at least, instead of getting into an argument with the venue guards as to where I could properly park. I would have liked to have seen ANS again (without the do-over) and Come Together, which I see from the ka4l video was very nice, indeed. So that’s what the loud screaming heard over McKinley Hills was all about.

I was just thinking that the people who left after Jabba performed were people who got free tickets to watch them. Because if they paid for those tickets they would have watched everything to get value for their money. I mean, those tickets are not cheap. Hahaha.

That’s what sucks about concerts, especially by foreign artists, in the Philippines. Ticket prices are just too steep when we have to pay for them. (Too bad the Ayala resources, I hear, are being spent on further business expansion rather than on bringing in Idols here for us to see for free. lol)

Oh, just to avoid any confusion, the free tickets we got for the Manila show weren’t courtesy of the Jabbawockeez. Also, for the record, I had already seen both the Jabbawockeez and Boyce Avenue in separate shows before and for free. I think it’s safe to say I bought the ticket mostly for Kris Allen. Yes, it cost a lot (I paid less for Daughtry, heh). Wait…maybe I have an axe to grind, after all. lol

Looking at the videos, it’s hard for me to find a preferred performance. There are all so good. I would say that my top are IIO, ANS, FS, WAOYF, CSA, Heartless

No idea what kind of payday he’s receiving for the concerts. I would say it s/b pretty good; he was the headliner and I understood there was about 25,000 people at the Manila show

My husband ran onto the stage with the magician, Blackstone, almost 30 years ago, and got to be part of a trick, and you know, he still talks about it to this day–it was so thrilling for him to be that up-close-and-personal, and participating in the show. So now you have a great memory, too! Enjoy!

Nice to see that LLWD has increase by one spot compared to last week despite the slight decrease in the U.S.. means the other countries sales are increasing

It’s so funny tripp_ncwy. Am listening to it streaming online,and the DJ screwed the player up and all they’ve played for at least the half hour that I listen to was LLWD. People are not going to won’t to hear that song for awhile. Poor Kris has to sing it. One tweeter said how much it played that the person daughter well know the whole song. And someone ask if Kris died and that’s why the song is playing over and over again.

From his album I always felt ‘The Truth’ would be the hardest to sing live for Kris. But from all the songs he performed in Manila, his vocals were most sound/spot on in this song. They were mostly perfect. No sour notes, no pitchy spots… just smooth, poignant and beautiful. Even in the chorus or bridge, not once did his voice or vocals seem strained.
It was almost perfect.

I never listened to The Truth much on the album, but ever since Kris started performing it live, I can’t help but love it.

Once again, thankyou so much for these video guys! They are just amazing.

I was sitting somewhere in the area behind his row. I didn’t even realize at first that it was Kris sitting there; he was being shielded and he seemed to be making himself invisible, crouching most of the time (while his band and Boyce Avenue were standing around, talking amongst themselves and to fans and having photos taken with them). I just took a second look when I noticed the purple shirt and remembered briefly seeing him in it – and being delighted with his choice of shirt color! – when he passed by to go through the boarding entrance while I was checking my baggage in. His girl assistant (I think she must be) was also wearing a purple shirt, as was, interestingly, I (it was a completely different shade, but still purple-ish).

Seriously, Paulie, where did you get that shirt? I want one.

The part I like is when he was told what Katy said the changes of him after idol. And he looked scared and said “Oh-oh”. And then laughed, maybe a little bit embarrased about his shirt was getting tighter. ( I hope that he did not change that though).
I so respect Cale when he was asked about what secret stuff that the audience did not know about Kris. I’m sure having known Kris for years, he knows something, but he just did not say anything.

I can’t figure out if he like playing at Las Vegas BB King. It reminded him of his beginning. I hope so. I want him to come back there or play in smaller venues like that preferrably at Southern California area.

what I saw on twitter is that Kris had a press conference (which should be going on now), then an autograph session (at 6 pm Malaysian time), then a showcase (at 8:30pm Malaysian time), then a post show M&G.

I wonder why Kris did the soundcheck by himself. The band went to Malaysia with him…if they weren’t going to take part in this gig, why wouldn’t they have just gone on ahead to Singapore?

Relieving the concert last Saturday while watching the videos on you tube… again… for the nth time.

My favorite performance would be FS, of course, on top of the list.
Second and third, changing places, BCWU and The Truth. AWM is fun and I always expect KA to encourage audience participation and LLWD is a hit anywhere… but I’ve had BCWU and TT in my head since the concert. I really love their performances of these songs. I think it’s because when I listened the first time to the CD version I thought that the songs would be difficult to do live…. But, last Saturday, it was awesome. Not just with Kris’ singing and pulling it off, it was the whole thing – the band, Kris, the emotions from these songs, the awesome introductions when with just a few notes, the audience would scream. I was in the silver section and, obviously, there were a lot of fans there. People were singing along to other songs from the album, not just LLWD… screaming and dancing. It was fun!

And not to forget – Is It Over… this! Always fun in all of the shows i’ve seen here… Always. Kris and Cale. Not over.

I’ve been wondering… Here in Manila, they always have to mention the musical director for concerts of local artists. To my understanding, the musical director sets the tone of each concert, helps the artists prepare their music, “choreographs” the music mixes (or mash ups), pulls all the musicians together, etcetera, etcetera… With Kris and his band, I’m thinking Kris does all these. (?) He’s the musical director essentially. If this is so, then, wow, he’s really a treasure… Just let me know if I’m wrong. I’ve been wondering about it.

Did we have anyone going to the events in KL? I think it’s around 10:30 PM there as I write this. I hope we get some reports back.

TwigLA, the graphic was a pop-art(?) of Jose Rizal, the Philippine national hero. They added sunglasses to his face. LOL. There are several variations of this pic using different elements. The purple one uses lines and some abstract objects to form the silhouette of Rizal’s face.

Each of the HD videos are from 65-100MB in file size. The original files were at about 800MB-1.5G each, and are even much crisper in quality. Someday I’ll figure out a way to upload those.

Wow. The quality of your videos are awesome!!! If you can upload those in the original quality (maybe as a torrent?), that would be great.

Wow. The quality of your videos are awesome!!! If you can upload those in the original quality (maybe as a torrent?), that would be great.

carmine, you can download the video directly from Vimeo. You just have to sign up for a free account. Download limit’s 5 a day I think.

I do have some problems of my own downloading them though. It seems Firefox doesn’t allow me to save the file (it plays directly on the browser). Will try with IE later.
