Kris is vocally spot-on, just perfect. This song fits his vocals like a glove. Off-tune comments always makes me wonder how many critics of music on blogs are actually “tone-deaf”. I mean, we see all those people auditioning and they actually believe they can sing on key. Is it really any different when they’re listening to music? Makes you think, don’t it? ::grin::

Well, I don’t know what else has been going on, but I have predicted that the song may not do that well on pop radio but that it’ll probably do very well on HAC.

It initially seemed to be doing a bit better on HAC, but it actually got way more adds on Top 40 radio this week, and that is where it currently has more momentum. It was #7 on the taking off Top 40 chart today.

Anyone who says at this point that LLWD is dead in the water doesn’t know anything about the music industry. The song has increasing momentum on radio right now. That’s just a fact.

If you’ve been watching songs climb or not climb the charts, especially on pop radio, and to a lesser extent on HAC, you’ll know that the song’s quality doesn’t seem to have anything to do with it ‘” it’s whether it fits the particular style of the moment.

tell me about it. i’ve been hearing a hihop song called “LOL Smiley Face” nonstop in the mornings on my way to work. i have no words to add to this.

btw, I really like the live, acoustic version of LLWD. and the wordiness of the song doesnt work against kris. confirms (IMO) that the issue with NB was the quality of the song and not the singer.

From me, that’s just a thought about what kinds of songs/lyrics/production seem to really soar on pop radio at the moment. I don’t know whether others mean to be insulting it, but I don’t — I just feel as if it’s not as “radio friendly” for the one format as for the other, based solely on my perceptions of what currently seem to be the really hot styles on pop. Not intended as any kind of insult — I hate most of the stuff that is hot on pop radio and infinitely prefer the less “pop radio friendly” stuff.

Of course, pop radio periodically shifts its favored styles and even once in a while gives something significant play that doesn’t sound just like anything else. If they’d do that with LLWD, I’d say it was a good move on their part. I can’t say that I’m really expecting it, though.

So people saying that the song may not do brilliantly on radio may be saying nothing more than this. It’s also something that we can’t really know till it happens, of course!

I know no one wants to hear this, but LLWD is dead in the water. This song has been out long enough for the public to hear it and decide if they like it. It’s pretty obvious that people really don’t care for the song. I think Kris is wasting his time with this song. He need to move on and put out a second song, that shows him at his best. This song is only a little better than No Boundaries.

It’s waaay too early to say this song is dead. As others have mentioned, this song is doing GREAT since it’s radio adds and is getting some excellent airplay on large stations like Z100 and others. And this is only after a few days! So yeah, really quick upwards movement of this song in radio plays just this week alone, and no signs that it won’t do anything, but continue to do well.

So yeah, I think the song is doing just fine. I continue not to personally enjoy it and this live performance is no exception. I so enjoy Kris more when he’s doing songs like JTFML than LLWD, but hey, different strokes and all.

LLWD was #4 on Ryan Seacrest’s top 10 noon countdown. They just played it on Z100 a minute ago. Isn’t Ryan’s show nationwide? Seacrest the said the song is getting very comfortable on his countdown.

This is great news!! Yay! My tolerance of Ryan (off of idol) just went up a smidgen. heh.
