I love Kris Allen and Chris Daughtry soo much. This was the one concert I was so looking forward to. Chris has been a supporter of Kris and SMAYA is one of my favorites. I so wish they would do this again closer to my state (and Chris Daughtry’s).

This concert has been sold out for a long time. I think the place holds 8000, but don’t hold me to that.

Of all the concerts he’s been doing, THIS is the one I would most like to attend (Goo Goo Dolls with Kris too). I enjoy Daughtry as much as I enjoy Kris. I so wish they were doing a concert together in Seattle.

So excited for this concert, I swear half my feed is at the concert tonight, and most of them are excellent video takers! We’re going to get great vids tonight!!! I’m really excited for SMAYA, and I also hope Chris brings Kris back out to duet on Home. I saw Daughtry with Lifehouse this spring and Jason Wade came out to sing it with Chris, it was awesome.

It is really great for Kris to have all these different experiences in touring.
Playing in a small venues as the headliners and then in a big venues as opener to country , pop / soft rock audience. Having the audience screams for him and then more quiet audience. It is just part of the process and
I think everything is great. It will keep him humble, not that he needs a reminder, really.

Then Kris starts singing and we can’t even get to our seats! Then, when we do, there’s like 50 million people walking in front of me!. Then, we stand up and are singing along and such, when we realize there are only literally like 15 other people who like him. :/
He asks everyone to stand up and sing along and even tells them what to sing, and hardly anyone does. I felt so bad for him! :(
However, it got completely silent after his second or third song and we screamed, “WE LOVE YOU, KRIS!” And he said, “Love you too.” :D And then everyone was like awww. Ahh, I love him! <3
But then, of course, when Daughtry comes out almost everyone stands up and screams. Poor Kristopher. :/ &What the heck? Chris literally skipped all of his high notes. He would like pull the microphone away from his mouth&only sing 1/2 the song. Maybe he was sickish?
But then after the show, we went to get Kris shirts and there were none left. I only saw like three people with them. :( &Then we asked the security guy if we could meet Kris&he said that he left as soon as he was done! :( &He didn't believe that we were like.. the only Kris fans and that they threw away my poster and that the shirts were sold out. :( But the show was still good; don't get me wrong. ;)

Since the venue was about 8000 capacity (from what I read earlier) and it’s a sold out show, my guess would be Kris’ fans are scattered all over the venue and surrounded by a lot more Daughtry’s fans. So it ought to feel like there was only 15 Kris’ fans at any one spot where his fan was.

Yeah, Ross, I don’t find Anjxo39′s tweets to be consistent with most of the other tweets I read.

I’m actually confused by the tweets. Some seem to indicate that the response was good and some not. In any case there were definitely Daughtry fans that didn’t like Kris and were not even open to doing so.

This makes me feel a little naive because for some reason I thought Kris would have a good response from Chris’s fans. In fact it kind of makes me angry because for some reason they seem to be above the KAB.

Oh well, of course Kris and KAB did an awesome job tonight!!! That’s the most important thing. :D

IDK, there were Kris fans that said tweeted they disliked Daughtry before the concert even started and Daughtry fans that didn’t acknowledge Kris was even there, but since it was a handful, I’m going to discount the whole thing. After last years idol tour, I believe nothing about crowds anymore that I see on twitter. I’m waiting to hear from Girlygirl and others and see what they say. I even saw a die hard Daughtry fan who claims to have gone to 50 concerts complaining about Daughtry, so who the heck knows.

I love Kris and Daughtry and thought SMAYA was all kinds of awesome.

Cookcricket, my impression is that there were certainly many fans of Kris’ and definitly Chris fans who tweeted about enjoying Kris. It seemed like in one area there were some rude Chris fans throwing stuff at Kris fans. I don’t trust the tweets to reflect the full reality, so for that I’d rather hear from girlygirl, for example or from someone who we know who can give a helpful recap.

And as far as Chris’ “too sweet” comment – I only took that as positive because I think both Chris and Kris have reflected great respect and admiration for each other.

As long as they clap after the songs, and don’t throw rotten fruit, or boo, it’s a good crowd.

Based on most tweets and facebook, Kris got a good reception from the crowd and sounded amazing.

I wonder what song on KATA is representing the most the sound that he is going for in the next album.

linsmile, I agree with what you said about the concert.

I will add that as a Kris fan, it’s easy to forget that Kris is not headlining these concerts so the majority of the fans in attendance are not there to see him. He is not going to get an overwhelming response every time out. I wish there were more dates with Daughtry because Kris has a way a winning people over. I think we have seen that with some of the BNL fans. This was a one shot deal so you can’t really read too much into it.

As far as the tweets from Anjxo39, I know if my fav is opening, I am going to make sure I am at the venue way early as to not miss out. one person’s opinion does not give the whole picture of reality. I am waiting to hear from others who atteneded to get a clearer picture.

I also want to send out a big Thank You!!!!! to all the posters during the concert. It truely was an epic night.

Hey hi good morning! About to head off to AC, but wanted to give a quick recap of the Hershey concert. Kris sounded great last night and got a really good response from the crowd — which was (of course) mainly made up of Daughtry fans. At least in my section, they definitely knew who Kris was, but LLWD was probably the only song they were really aware of. The duet (which was fantastic) easily gotten the biggest response, then LLWD. Those were the only songs people really stood for. But the audience participation for AWM was pretty good and when I walked out after the show I heard some people talking about how good Kris was.

I am not worried about what a few people said the reaction to Kris was. Everyone has different perspectives. Kris has been exposed to new people all summer and I think in the long run that can only be a very positive thing.

I figured girlgirl that the crowd wasn’t as bad as the one tweeter was saying.I saw a few people that I follow that said they thought Kris got a great responds.Of course he wouldn’t get as good of a responds as Daughtry since more people come to see the headliner.I can’t still believe I’ll be seeing him next month,thanks to chris4kris.I know am going to go nuts that whole day and be a basket-case by the time of the concert.And it’s going to be one of the last shows.Am so sad it’s almost over but so excited for the next chapter of his career to start.

Overall, it sounded like a good concert. I’m thrilled that Kris and Chris dueted on Send Me All Your Angels. The Kris acoustic of that song in Vegas at Petapalooza (is that right?) is my absolute favorite.

I wouldn’t give much credence to those two negative tweeters. The one talking about getting pelted by Daughtry fans … um, I may have joined in on that had I been there. They seemed a bit obnoxious and I get irritated if I’m sitting on a lawn and people decide to block my view or talk loudly while I’m trying to listen and enjoy. But it would have been all in good fun ,,, beachballs and Twizzlers are pretty lethal, you know.

The one who tweeted ‘only 15 Kris fans’ also tweeted that ’50 milllion people’ walked in front of her. Can we say hyperbole? It also sounds like security did not allow people to stand, and from friends who go to a lot of Hershey concerts, this is the norm there.

From where I was sitting the crowd was really into Kris, enthusiastic and dancing and swaying. Lots of love. There was a little grandmotherly-type rocking out to him that I tried to take a pic of, but failed. When Chris gave a shout-out to Kris at the end, there was a roar of approval and I think he made a lot of new fans.

I was impressed that the band came out exactly at 8 P.M. (you know those rock musicians aren’t the most punctual) and played a whirlwind set, ending by 8:30. Kris was very energetic, using a falsetto voice a couple of times in his banter. And, as everyone has said before, the KAB is incredibly tight and sound like they’ve been touring for years.

When he started doing SMAYA, I was surprised since I thought he might do it during Chris’ set, then started thinking that maybe it fell through and I was getting disappointed, but then Daughtry appeared and the crowd went ape (which is even bigger than bat). I was so happy to be there since I knew it was such a rare treat to see them singing together and harmonizing on their song.

Totally amazing two days for me, getting to see both acoustic and rocker Kris. Excellence squared!

Thanks Boffo & girlygirl for your thoughts. I always like to hear from people that recap about the concert, which to me is a much more accurate description rather than what some tweeters say at the time!!

After watching these great videos I agree that Kris got a good response from the Daughtry crowd. Lots of cheers and you can hear people singing along to llwd.

One thing that struck me was how much I really enjoy watching not only Kris but the whole band as a unit. They just keep getting better! I love how they seem so relaxed, animated, and totally into the music (remember the first videos). KAB enhance’s Kris’s performance. We talk a lot about how great it is for Kris to be opening for other acts but it has to be awesome for the rest of them also. In addition to meeting and watching a bunch of big name bands, they’ve gotten to perform with other singers such as Adam, Allison, Pat M, Daughtry, GRO, and I’m probably missing others. This tour is an awesome experience for both Kris and KAB. I hope they stay together forever!!!

Thank you all for helping me to feel better about those lame tweets last night. I’m generally pretty positive about all things Kris and KAB, but I think my expectations of Daughtry fans were naive as I stated before. I think it’s also been reinforced to me that yes, twitter is sometimes the devil. ;)
